The Cutie PAT Smile is a pacifier and teether for babies from newborn up until weaning, designed for use with or without teeth. It was invented by Dr. Trey Fellers, a board certified pediatric dentist, with a wide nipple intended to help prevent crossbite and a patented preformed neck intended to help prevent open bite. The design also includes a round shield for teething and large holes intended for safe breathing.
It is made as a one-piece design from 100% medical-grade silicone, which avoids trapped moisture between layers. It is CPSIA compliant and free of BPA, PFAS, phthalates, and latex. The teether handle is meant to provide comfort for sore gums while also making it easier for a baby to hold and bring to their mouth. Ryan & Rose recommends washing with warm water and mild soap, and it is dishwasher safe on the top rack.
The design is intended to help reduce the risk of certain orthodontic issues, but Ryan & Rose does not guarantee that the Cutie PAT Smile will prevent all orthodontic issues, noting that all babies are different and recommending parents consult a dentist with questions or concerns.
