The wipes carry an EWG Verified rating, meaning an independent reviewer scrutinized the ingredient list and confirmed it meets strict criteria for the absence of fragrance, dyes and other chemicals of concern, and a retailer's own product listing for the wipes reflects this same free-from profile with the specific star ingredients named. The formula is 99.9% purified water with grapefruit seed extract and sodium benzoate, with no fragrance, dye, alcohol, chlorine, paraben or phthalate among them.

We queried the complete CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — searching titles, descriptions and manufacturer, retailer and importer names, and DYPER appears nowhere in it, in any role, at any date. The same corpus carries 32 diaper recalls and 86 pacifier recalls, so this product class is covered and the clean result reflects the brand's absence rather than a query that missed.

The wipes carry an FSC Certified™ claim for the plant-based basesheet and are named as USDA Certified BioPreferred and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 compliant alongside the diapers. No licence or certificate code is published for the wipes, and the DermaTest 5-star clinical study DYPER describes was run on the diapers rather than the wipes.

EWG's Skin Deep entry for DYPER Bamboo Baby Wipes reproduces a component-level ingredient list from the pack and scores each ingredient individually, and it names benzethonium chloride and tocopheryl acetate — components absent from the brand's own current summary list, which gives water at 99% plus glycerin, decyl glucoside, chamomile, aloe and cucumber seed extracts, sodium benzoate and an incomplete 'potassium' entry. That entry, dated September 2023, predates the reformulation.

The basesheet is 100% plant-based, made from FSC Certified™ responsibly sourced materials, and the entire wipe substrate is plant-derived with no stain- or water-repellent treatment claimed. The exact fibre is described inconsistently across DYPER's own pages — bamboo viscose in one place, plant-based viscose and wood pulp elsewhere — and no fibre percentage is given for the current wipes.

DYPER states it is dermatologically tested by Dermatest, and independent outlets covering the brand repeat the Dermatest and OEKO-TEX claims for the product line, including the wipes. What remains unpublished is the specific rating awarded and the report itself for the wipes, as distinct from the diapers.

DYPER publishes the wipe ingredient list, and says its products are made in various places including China, Mexico and the US with globally sourced materials — no specific factory or single country of origin for the wipes. When Consumer Reports asked for more detail on the wipe materials, DYPER did not answer.
