CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

87 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Build Durability 92

Buyers repeatedly describe the bamboo numbers as thick, sturdy and able to withstand toddler use over time, with smooth rounded edges and no reports of cracking or chipping; one reviewer notes only minor cosmetic dings that don't affect integrity.

Developmental Claim Honesty 85

The Bamboo Numbers are marketed for counting and number recognition, a specific, falsifiable claim tied to the product's actual design, and buyers in the review corpus confirm using them for number order, counting and sensory play, though no independent educator or expert source corroborates the skill claims.

Toy Safety Compliance 79

Wee Gallery is an identifiable, retail-distributed manufacturer that states general CPSIA compliance and third-party testing for phthalates, lead and soluble metals across its lines, but no compliance trail naming ASTM F963 or a CPC specifically for Bamboo Numbers is published.

Age Grading & Choking Safety 84

The brand markets Bamboo Numbers toward preschoolers without a stated minimum age, and no small-parts warning is published for this set; the puzzle-line recall shows the brand's small-piece toys can present choking risk even under an age label, though this specific product carries no age grading to check.

Recall History 92

We queried the CPSC recall database directly and found two recalls: 2021 wooden tray puzzles (choking, Fast Track/voluntary) and 2024 Tummy Time Gallery (phthalates, voluntary, no injuries). Neither covers this bamboo numbers line, both were company-initiated with no reported injuries.

Certification Credibility 87

The brand names GOTS for its cotton-manufacturing facility and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 for a polyester fill component, both well-evidenced claims, but neither is asserted for this bamboo product; no certification is claimed for the finished Bamboo Numbers themselves.

Transparency & Support 84

The brand publishes general materials philosophy and dimensions for this set, but the country of manufacture, wood-finish details, and any warranty terms for Bamboo Numbers specifically are not published anywhere we found.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Customers describe the numbers as good quality and sturdy, with several noting smooth, rounded edges and a pleasant feel to the wood.
Many reviewers say the pieces are larger and chunkier than expected, which they feel makes them easy for small hands to hold.
Customers like that the set comes with a drawstring cotton bag, which they describe as functional for storage and travel.
Several reviewers point out that the numbers 6 and 9 are shaped identically, which some feel could be confusing since schools typically teach the 9 with a straight rather than curved line.
One reviewer mentions that being a softer wood, the bamboo picked up a few visible dings with use, though they say it did not affect the pieces' structural integrity.

Perfect size lightweight numbers that attract and occupy little minds! Just buy them if you're thinking about it. The only drawback could be that the 6 and 9 are identical, (the 9 could have a straight edge instead of curved) however, that just opens more conversations around here! LOVE these number blocks.

Truly the perfect little wooden number set. My granddaughter starts kindergarten in the fall and has been working on numbers. I thought this would be a fun new way to keep the momentum going and they did not disappoint. Love that they came with a little drawing string bag for storage. Bag functions well and is a wonderful, minimal design. The numbers themselves were a bit larger than I expected, which I was very pleased with. You can tell lots of thought went into the size because they are perfect for little hands. They feel very sturdy. Love the wood color as well. My only complaint and it’s not necessarily a product issue, but something I wish more companies took into consideration for numbers. The “6” and “9” are the exact same shape. Schools do not teach this curved shape for the number 9 and something worth considering before purchasing. Overall, we love this set and would absolutely recommend it. It’s especially great for sensory boxes, which is how we’ve used in the most.

We already have the Alphabet set but had to come get the Numbers set too! The quality of the bamboo is nice and has smooth and rounded edges with no rough spots. They are fun to use and can be used in a million different ways. We use ours with a sensory bin, number order and recognition, learning to add and subtract small amounts and general play. The wood numbers are thick enough that they can be used for stacking and balancing. The numbers are easy to tidy up because they come with a little drawstring bag. They all seem to be made with good quality bamboo and don’t show any signs of splitting or cracking. The bamboo wood grain looks pretty and we really enjoy having natural materials. These would make a lovely gift or just perform as a great education tool.
