Barcos de baño

These are open, bowl-shaped boats with handles and open troughs on top rather than hollow squirters with a pinhole, so there is no sealed cavity for water to sit in, and care is simply warm water, mild soap and air drying. Owners repeatedly report the same thing across 62 reviews — that the boats dry completely, trap no moisture and have shown no mold or interior residue, including sets in use for several years — and no mold complaint appears anywhere in that feedback.

This set is third-party tested to meet CPSIA, ASTM and Prop 65 standards — a named regime with third-party testing named as the route, asserted for the finished boats rather than for a component. The ASTM standard is cited without its F963 designation, and no Children's Product Certificate or laboratory report is published, which is ordinary for the industry since those certificates travel to retailers rather than to shoppers.

The boats are 100% food-grade polypropylene, free of BPA, BPS, PVC and phthalates, and third-party tested to meet CPSIA and Prop 65 standards. Owners describe babies chewing and teething on them with no reports of colour leaching, peeling or odour across 62 reviews, and one owner notes the boats have no smell at all. No test report, laboratory or migration result is published behind the material claim.

Each boat is a moulded piece of food-grade PP at 4.5 x 2.5 x 2 inches, with no wheels, scoops, suction cups or separable components — the boats simply nest and link, so there is nothing to shed into the tub. Across 62 owner reviews, several spanning years and multiple children, there are no reports of cracking or of parts detaching; the only recurring criticism is that the open-topped design lets the boats ship water and sink, which is a play limitation rather than a safety one.

The set is graded 10 months and up, and each boat measures 4.5 x 2.5 x 2 inches — comfortably larger than the small-parts cylinder used for the under-three choking test — so the grading and the physical form agree with each other. Across 62 owner reviews, including many describing babies of six to twelve months chewing and teething on the boats, no one reports a piece breaking off or a small fragment reaching a child's mouth.

We queried the CPSC recall database, which spans filings from June 1973 to August 2026, and found exactly one filing naming mushie: the January 2022 recall of roughly 333,000 FRIGG silicone pacifiers, where a fine slit at the nipple base could let the nipple detach — a choking hazard. About 200 detachment reports came in, no injuries were reported, and the remedy was a full refund or credit through public US and Canadian filings. That filing concerns pacifiers, a different product category from these hard-plastic bath boats, and nothing else has been filed against the brand; mushie does not publish its own standing account of that recall or a safety-and-quality commitment page.

The boats are third-party tested to meet CPSIA, ASTM and California Proposition 65 standards, and that claim is made for this finished set rather than for a single material or a supplier's plant. No testing laboratory, report date or certificate reference is published alongside it.

The set is disclosed in useful detail: five boats of 100% food-grade PP, free of BPA, BPS, PVC and phthalates, 4.5 x 2.5 x 2 inches, made in Denmark, with care instructions. The disclosure stops short in two ways: no manufacturing partner or factory is named and no warranty term is spelled out, and the brand's home page places all of its products as made in London, which sits against the Denmark origin given for these boats.
