G5 Stroller Canopy

The canopy fits the G2, G3 and G5 stroller seats, but no mount mechanism, rated load or attachment test is described, and no review pattern on slipping or detachment is available for this accessory.

The canopy fabric is OEKO-TEX certified, which covers chemical screening, but no PFAS-free or PVC-free statement, certificate number, or product class is given for this specific accessory.

Eligible Orbit Baby products carry the Baby Safety Alliance Verified Seal (formerly JPMA), covering ASTM standards plus chemical limits, with independent sample-testing and annual retesting. No certificate number is published specifically for this canopy.

No recall of this product appears in the CPSC recall database (10,053 records, 1973-2026). Orbit Baby's record holds two voluntary car seat base recalls: the 2013 G2 base, whose StrongArm knob could detach or spin without tightening, and a 2017 G3 base labeling issue in Canada, both remedied with free repair kits and no injuries reported. Neither covers the G5 Stroller Canopy in Mint.

Independent fabric testing on Orbit Baby's merino wool car seat fabric found it naturally flame-retardant free, but this applies to a different component on a different product; no FR-free or PFAS-free statement is published for the canopy fabric itself.

Eligible products carry the Baby Safety Alliance (formerly JPMA) Verified Seal, with independent lab sample-testing against ASTM standards, federal and state law, and chemical limits for lead, phthalates and flame retardants, retested annually. No certificate number is published for this canopy.

The canopy includes harness pads and grab bar upholstery but no statement addresses whether any attached trim, zipper pulls or toggles are secured or oversized, and no independent inspection of small parts is available for this accessory.

Orbit Baby publishes a concrete two-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, with stated exclusions (non-approved accessories, products bought before 2019 or outside the G5 series) and a defined claims process, plus a manuals library for assembly and use. Country of manufacture and supplier are not published.
