Infant Insert

The Infant Insert is made to pair with the MiaMily HIPSTER Plus carrier, adapting it for newborn babywearing from birth. It is not intended to be used on its own. An angled pillow base keeps a newborn's hips in a natural, fetal position, while thick head support and a double padded back panel are built to support a baby's head, neck, and curved spine. The insert maintains the pediatrician-recommended frog-leg (M) position, keeping the baby's knees higher than the hips.
The insert is made from an inner layer of 95% cotton and 5% spandex, with a breathable mesh outer layer. Two snap positions allow the fit to be adjusted as a baby grows, and side loops secure the insert to the carrier. It is machine washable on a cold, gentle cycle with mild detergent; air drying is recommended rather than tumble drying.
The insert is recommended for newborns facing in only, generally from birth until a baby's neck is strong enough to hold up their head, usually around 4 months.
