This mouthing mitten is worn on the hand rather than held, so it stays in place during the early teething window before babies develop the palmar grasp needed to hold a conventional teether. It is designed for ages 0 to 6 months and covers newborn hand care through the height of pre-grasp teething: in the first few months it keeps hands dry instead of soaking through like a cotton scratch mitt, and from around 3 to 6 months its textured silicone surface gives baby something to mouth for gum relief. Each mitten is made of 100% high-purity food-grade silicone, tested to FDA food-contact standards (21 CFR 177.2600), and is free of BPA, PVC, phthalate, lead, latex, and microplastics.
