Pelele orgánico Clinch

The fibre content is given exactly — 100% GOTS certified organic cotton terry, with no spandex in this style — and the organic status is tied to a named certifier, IDFL Laboratory and Institute, under GOTS licence IDFL 010673, with the cotton grown and the garment made in India. An independent review repeats the 100% GOTS organic cotton composition for the brand's rompers.

The romper is a sleeveless one-piece with a gathered waist and nickel-free snaps on baby sizes, with no neck cords, ties or detachable appliqués described. Snap retention, seam construction and small-parts testing after use-and-abuse are not addressed anywhere in the brand's otherwise detailed material and chemical disclosure.

The romper is dyed with AZO-free, water-based dyes on a 100% organic cotton terry base rather than a synthetic one, so disperse-dye chemistry does not arise, and GOTS processing rules bar bleach and formaldehyde in the colouring chain. An independent review repeats the AZO-free dye claim.

This is more than a fibre-only claim: the romper is made of 100% GOTS certified organic cotton terry in a GOTS certified factory, the brand holds GOTS licence IDFL 010673 through IDFL Laboratory and Institute, and its finished products are stated to carry the organic certification label. An independent review repeats the GOTS certification for the garments without inspecting the certificate.

We queried the full CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — and Makemake Organics appears nowhere in it, in any role. A control on the same corpus returns hundreds of children's-product records (332 crib, 182 stroller, 1,470 toy), so the clean result reflects the brand's absence rather than a failed search.

Makemake Organics is a GOTS licensed brand under licence number IDFL 010673, certified by IDFL Laboratory and Institute, with the certification asserted for the products themselves and the factory, and the romper listing carries an IDFL reference alongside its 100% GOTS organic cotton terry claim. Fair Trade and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 are also named, and an independent review of the brand repeats the GOTS licensing without examining the certificates.

The romper is declared free of PFAS, formaldehyde, phthalates, AZO dyes and flame retardants, and nothing in the garment is marketed as easy-care, wrinkle-resistant, non-iron or stain-repellent — the care guide asks for a gentle wash and a cool iron, which is the opposite posture. An independent review repeats that the clothing is free of flame retardants and PFAS.

Care guidance for this romper is detailed and specific: machine wash on gentle, do not bleach, iron on cool, mild plant-based or mild laundry detergent, tumble dry on low and remove promptly, with wool dryer balls suggested instead of softener. It stops short of telling buyers to wash the garment before first wear.

The romper's fabric is 100% GOTS certified organic cotton terry, and the garments are designed in Florida and manufactured in a GOTS certified factory in India. Two independent reviews restate the same manufacturing location rather than testing it.

The baby sizes use nickel-free snaps, and the fabric is coloured with AZO-free, water-based dyes with no thick raised plastisol print on this plain terry style.
