Conjunto de Top de Ojal Orgánico con Volantes y Shorts

The set is 100% GOTS certified organic cotton in an embroidered eyelet weave, with no synthetic blend in this style, and the organic status is tied to a named certifying body — IDFL Laboratory and Institute, under licence IDFL 010673. Provenance is given at country level: designed in Florida and manufactured in India, where the brand's organic cotton is grown; the growing region, spinning mill and weaver are not named.

For a garment offered from newborn sizes upward, nothing is published about how this top and shorts set closes or holds together: no snap-retention or seam detail, no statement about detachable decorative elements, and no small-parts or use-and-abuse test result. It is the single gap in an otherwise detailed account of materials, chemistry and care.

The dyes on this set are azo-free and water-based, and the GOTS processing standard the brand is licensed to requires non-toxic colourants and bars bleach and formaldehyde. The base cloth is 100% organic cotton, so no disperse dyes on synthetic fibre are involved, and no restricted-amine screening result is published for the finished fabric.

This set is made of 100% GOTS certified organic cotton and sewn in a GOTS certified factory in India, and the brand holds a GOTS licence — number IDFL 010673 through IDFL Laboratory and Institute — with products and facility certified organic and carrying the organic certification label. That is a certification asserted for the garment itself rather than a bare "made with organic cotton" fibre claim, but no certificate a shopper can look up is published.

We queried the full CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — for "Makemake Organics" as manufacturer, importer, retailer or product name, and found no recall record in any role at any date. The same corpus returns hundreds of children's-product recalls (1,470 mentioning toys, 332 cribs), so the clean result reflects the brand's absence rather than a gap in coverage.

Makemake Organics is a GOTS-licensed brand under licence number IDFL 010673, certified by IDFL Laboratory and Institute, with both products and facility certified organic; this set carries the mark IDFL 26390 and is made in a GOTS certified factory in India. Fair Trade and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 are also named, though OEKO-TEX is named without a certificate number or a stated product class.

This set is declared free of PFAS, formaldehyde, flame retardants, phthalates and AZO dyes, and nothing about it is sold on easy-care, wrinkle-resistant, non-iron, stain-resistant or water-repellent performance — the care guidance asks for a gentle wash and a cool iron, which is what untreated cotton needs. The GOTS processing standard the brand is licensed to also prohibits formaldehyde and bleach.

Ongoing care for this set is spelled out in detail — machine wash on gentle, do not bleach, iron on cool, tumble dry on low and remove promptly, with mild plant-based detergent and wool dryer balls instead of softener. The one instruction that matters most before a child first wears it is missing: there is no direction to wash the garment before first wear.

Fibre content is published for every garment, and this set is designed in Florida and manufactured in India. The individual factory and fabric mill are not named.

Decoration on this set is Schiffli cutwork embroidery worked into the cloth rather than a thick raised screen print, and the dyes are azo-free and water-based, with phthalates and formaldehyde excluded. The disclosure stops short of the metal side: the composition of any buttons or closures is not published, and no nickel- or lead-free statement or heavy-metal migration result is given for trims.
