Pelele orgánico con frunces y botones

The fabric is 100% GOTS certified organic cotton dobby — a single natural fibre with no synthetic content in the shell — grown and manufactured in India, where the brand sources its cotton, with IDFL Laboratory and Institute named as the certifying body under licence IDFL 010673. Two independent reviews describe the same 100% GOTS organic cotton composition for the brand's rompers.

This romper has wooden front buttons and snaps at the crotch for baby sizes, and there are no neck cords or ties in the design. Nothing is published about button and snap attachment strength, small-parts testing after use and abuse, or seam construction, and there is no review history to draw on.

The romper is coloured with AZO-free, water-based dyes on a 100% organic cotton woven base — no synthetic fibre, so no disperse-dye exposure — and GOTS processing rules for the fabric prohibit bleach and formaldehyde and restrict dye chemistry. An independent sustainability review reports the same AZO-free dye position for the brand's garments.

The romper is made of 100% GOTS certified organic cotton dobby and is sewn in a GOTS certified factory in India, under the brand's own GOTS licence IDFL 010673 with IDFL Laboratory and Institute as certifier. This is a certification asserted for the garment and its supply chain, not a fibre-only "made with organic cotton" phrasing, and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 is claimed alongside it.

We queried the full CPSC recall corpus at saferproducts.gov — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — and Makemake Organics appears nowhere in it, in any role. Controls in the same corpus return hits for comparable children's product classes, so the clean result reflects the brand's absence rather than a query that failed to reach the category.

The brand holds GOTS certification under licence number IDFL 010673, issued by IDFL Laboratory and Institute, and the romper itself carries an IDFL mark; OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 and Fair Trade are also named. The certifier and licence code are specific and named rather than a bare logo, and the certifications are asserted for the products themselves, not only for a fibre supplier.

The romper is declared free of PFAS, formaldehyde, flame retardants, phthalates and AZO dyes, and nothing in the marketing offers easy-care, wrinkle-resistant, non-iron, stain-resistant or water-repellent performance — the care guide in fact tells you to iron on cool, which is what an untreated woven cotton needs. An independent sustainability review repeats the same PFAS-free and flame-retardant-free position.

Care guidance for this romper is detailed and specific: machine wash gentle, do not bleach, iron on cool, tumble dry low and remove promptly, with mild plant-based detergent and wool dryer balls recommended in place of softeners. There is no instruction to wash the garment before first wear, which is the one piece of guidance missing from an otherwise complete set.

Fabric content, design location (Florida) and country of manufacture (India, in a GOTS certified factory) are all published. The specific factory or mill is not named and no trim-level materials breakdown is given.

The snaps used on baby sizes are nickel-free, the front buttons are wood rather than coated metal, and the dyes are declared AZO-free — and the design is a woven dobby texture with no thick raised screen print anywhere on it. Heavy-metal migration or lead results for the wooden buttons and the snap metal are not published.
