Gathre states the Play Gym has 12 rungs, a beech-wood structure, and a 150lb weight limit, and recommends use on cushioned or carpeted surfaces, but no named standard, non-slip-base detail, or test method supports the stability of the assembled frame.

CPSIA compliance is named explicitly for Gathre's play mats and select soft-play products, but the Play Gym is not among the products this claim covers, and no ASTM F963 or CPSIA testing claim appears anywhere for the climbing frame itself.

The Play Gym is described only as made from beech wood; nothing is published about its finish, lacquer, paint or formaldehyde-related treatment, and no PVC/phthalate/lead-free claim that covers other Gathre products is extended to this wooden item.

The Play Gym's own page states it is recommended for ages 3+ but can be used from 18 months, with a 150lb weight limit - a specific range, but the dual age framing is only stated by Gathre itself with no small-parts warning or cross-source check.

Adult supervision is recommended and a dual age range (18 months to 3+) with a 150lb capacity is stated, and parent reviews describe toddlers as young as 15-18 months climbing on it successfully, corroborating the lower end of that range.

Toddlers climb on the Play Gym daily without wobbling, loosening joints or breakage, but no published care guidance or longer-term durability claim exists for the wood or hardware.

We queried the complete CPSC recall database (10,047 records, 1973-2026) for Gathre and found no recall of any kind, in any role. A control search confirms the registry covers comparable product classes like toys and strollers, so the clean result is meaningful.

Gathre names CPSIA compliance for its play mats and GREENGUARD Gold is claimed by third-party roundups for mat products, but no certification is asserted anywhere for the Play Gym itself - no standard, lab, or number tied to this wooden climbing structure.

The Play Gym's wood species (beech) and rung count are disclosed, and a lifetime workmanship guarantee with a direct support contact is offered, but country of manufacture, finish/lacquer details and any spare-parts route for this item are not published.
