Coche de carreras

This is a 6-inch, 0.21 lb hand-pushed car rather than a sit-on vehicle, moulded as a single shock-resistant piece with no metal axles, screws or external coatings, which removes the pinch points and fastener failures that ride-on mechanisms create. What is not given is any mechanical test method or result — no drop, torque or wheel-pull figures, and no load limit — so the durability claim rests on description alone.

With no metal axles, no screws and no painted or external coating, there is nothing on this car to rust, chip, peel or fade, and it is dishwasher safe; owners of Green Toys vehicles describe them surviving repeated crashes and hard use over years. Against that, one listing notes the car suits indoor play better than rough outdoor conditions, and no wear or drop-test results are published to settle the point.

This car is entirely unpowered — a single moulded recycled-plastic body with no motor, no battery compartment, no charger and no button cells, so the charging, thermal and battery-ingestion hazards this grades cannot arise, and speed is limited by the child's own hand. The caveat is that the absence of electrical parts follows from the construction and specifications rather than being stated outright.

Green Toys certifies its toys under CPSIA and issues General Conformity Certificates, with European testing standard information held alongside them for retail partners. The caveat is scope and reach: the certificates are supplied to retailers rather than shown for this car, ASTM F963 is not named, and no accepted laboratory or testing date is given.

No age grade and no small-parts warning are published for this car, even though its dimensions, weight, materials and cleaning instructions all are; buyers are left to judge fit themselves, and the ones who wrote in describe giving it to two-year-olds and to a granddaughter at a baby shower. Green Toys' own history with detaching wheels on its smaller Mini Vehicles makes a stated age grade for this car the more important omission.

We queried the full CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — and found one entry for Green Toys: a July 2012 voluntary recall of Mini Vehicles, where wheels and hubcaps could detach and pose a choking hazard. It was handled proactively with Health Canada and CPSC after 10 detachment reports and no injuries, the remedy was a full refund with a dedicated hotline, and nothing has been filed in the fourteen years since; the recalled models were the small Mini Vehicles, not this Race Car.

Green Toys issues CPSIA General Conformity Certificates for its toys and supplies them to retailers alongside European testing standard information, and this car is stated to meet FDA food-contact standards and to contain no BPA, phthalates or PVC. The named regime is specific, though no certificate number, testing date or accepted laboratory is published for shoppers.

The car is made from 100% recycled #2 plastic, moulded in the USA with no metal axles and no external coatings, and Green Toys names a distributor for every region it sells into. The disclosure stops short on accountability: no warranty period or spare-parts provision is published, and the resin supplier is not named.
