Características clave

Certificaciones

    • OEKO-TEX Certified

    Certified by OEKO-TEX (Standard 100)

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certifies that every component of a textile item has been lab-tested and found free of harmful substances above set limits.

    What it checks

    • Testing of yarn, fabric, buttons, and other accessories against a list of over 1,000 regulated substances
    • Stricter chemical limits for products with more intensive skin contact, including a dedicated infant/toddler product class
    • Compliance with chemical regulations such as REACH, CPSIA, and the ECHA-SVHC candidate list
    • Annual review of substance limit values and one-year validity per certificate

What it does not cover It tests for chemical residues only and does not certify general product safety features like choking hazards, flammability, or mechanical construction.

This certification is held by the brand or manufacturer, not by Birch. We show it because the brand states it for this product. Summarised from the certifying body's own page.

CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

84 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Emissions & Off-Gassing 78

No VOC, formaldehyde or GREENGUARD-type emissions testing is named for this cotton duvet set, and nothing adjacent on off-gassing is published for it either.

Soft Bedding Safety Guidance 76

The product describes corner ties and a button closure to secure a duvet insert for kids' rooms but gives no age note, no caution against infant sleep-space use, and no explicit intended-use statement for where this set belongs.

Fill & Fiber Disclosure 87

The duvet cover and sham fabric is named as 100% cotton, but as a cover-only set with no insert included, there is no fill layer disclosed at all, leaving the composition claim covering only the outer shell.

Recall History 97

We queried the CPSC recall database across its full 1973-2026 corpus and found no record of Gathre in any role. The search covered product classes like cribs and toys, confirming the database functions and the brand's absence is real.

Textile Certification 92

The cotton used in this duvet cover and sham set is named as OEKO-TEX certified, a finished-product-scoped claim for the item itself, though no certificate number is published to resolve it against the issuer's register.

Certification Credibility 91

The duvet cover is named as OEKO-TEX certified 100% cotton, without a published certificate number. No outside source resolves or disputes this specific claim for the bedding set.

Transparency & Support 84

We found the fiber content (100% cotton) and wash instructions, but the country of manufacture, supplier, and any warranty or repair terms for this bedding set are not published anywhere.

Finish & Treatment Chemistry 87

The fabric is sold as OEKO-TEX certified 100% cotton, a label that screens finished textiles for harmful substances including formaldehyde, but the certification is claimed for the fabric rather than the finished set and no certificate number is given.

Material Disclosure Depth 77

The duvet cover and sham are named as 100% cotton, but there is no component-level breakdown covering lining, thread, closures or any backing material, and nothing adjacent fills this gap either.

Wash Durability & Shrinkage 83

The care instructions say machine wash cold and tumble dry low, but there is no stated shrinkage expectation and no independent or hands-on durability assessment after repeated laundering.

Una mirada más de cerca

Soft Cotton That Works Year-Round Made from 100% cotton, this duvet cover is breathable, comfortable, and designed for everyday use in kids’ bedrooms. Pair it with your favorite insert for warmth in cooler months, or swap for something lighter when the seasons change. It’s a simple system that grows easily with your child and their routines.

Sheets and duvet insert shown are not included.

Customer Stories

This duvet set is so cute and fun—I’m genuinely obsessed with the design. I especially love that it feels totally unisex, which makes it easy to style in any room. And the gingham pattern? So good. It adds the perfect mix of charm and playfulness without feeling over the top. The price point is also a huge win. It looks and feels high quality without breaking the bank, which is always a bonus. Overall, this set is stylish, versatile, and just makes the whole bed feel more put together. Great job, Gathre!
