Bamboo Nesting Animal

This nesting bird has no magnets, so the magnet-ingestion rule does not apply; its safety rests on small-part age fit, which is graded separately. No compliance trail specific to small-part testing for this stacker is published.

The pieces are 'sturdy' and nestable/stackable bamboo, a real-material claim but with no data on fit tolerance, longevity, or compatibility with other sets. Reviews describe the pieces as decorative and well made but do not speak to connection durability over years.

The bamboo is finished with a stated water-based, nontoxic paint or varnish, and general testing for phthalates, lead and soluble metals is indicated, but no lab, method or standard is named for this specific finish or product. A separate CPSC recall shows a wooden puzzle line from this brand once had a breakage/choking issue, though it is a different product.

General CPSIA compliance and testing for phthalates, lead and soluble metals across its lines is stated, but ASTM F963 is not named specifically and no certificate is published for this stacker. Wee Gallery is an identifiable, retail-distributed manufacturer, so non-publication of a CPC is ordinary industry practice rather than a sign of noncompliance.

The brand and an independent retailer both list this stacker at 18 months+ with a supervision caveat, and a Health Canada record confirms the brand's consistent 18-month-plus labeling practice for its wooden toys. The age grade is consistent everywhere we checked.

We queried the CPSC recall registry directly and found two prior Wee Gallery recalls: a 2024 voluntary phthalates recall on a fabric tummy-time product and a 2021 voluntary recall of wooden tray puzzles for breakage, neither in this nesting-toy line. Both were voluntary, no injuries were reported, and the brand proactively notified CPSC.

For this bamboo stacker, we find only a brand-wide claim of CPSIA compliance and testing for phthalates, lead and soluble metals, with no named lab or standard number, and no certification specific to bamboo building toys. The GOTS and FSC certifications the brand names elsewhere are scoped to a fabric factory and to wooden teethers, not this product.

The bamboo material and its water-based nontoxic finish are disclosed, but the country of manufacture, supplier, and any warranty or repair terms for this stacker are not published anywhere we found.
