We love our Gelato mini crib, though it was not straightforward to assemble. The instructions are Ikea-style with minimal words, and what was particularly tricky was figuring out which legs go on front vs back and how they should be oriented so you don’t have holes showing. We had to redo parts of this to get it closer to correct, and still one of the back legs has a hole showing (but that’s not visible in our nursery setup). We had to rely on several YouTube videos of others doing it slightly differently and playing around with it ourselves to get it right. The wood also does scratch easily - we were careful in assembly but did scratch a bit on the inside. I’m sure it will look more worn later, but it’s very pretty for now. No funky smells or offgassing needed like some furniture. The mini size is perfect for us and feels quite roomy - I think a full size crib would feel huge! Overall, great crib if you are willing to puzzle through the assembly.

Put this on my registry as a most wanted item and was so excited when a family member purchased for us. Everything was perfect until it was time to move the base down lower as baby started standing we are one year into use and moved down to 2nd to lowest and crib is so wobbly and loose. Won’t last for a second baby or even to convert into a toddler bed very disappointed it’s so beautiful wish the quality was better

It’s a beautiful crib, and built well. I’ll give it that. But there are a few things that are quite annoying. The wood is very very soft. One little nick will put a dent/scratch or discoloration in it. Which, when you’re putting it together, is very frustrating. So will it stand the test of time? Probably not. Second thing is: be aware that if you intend to convert it to the twin, the conversion kit does NOT come with slats. You will either have to make or buy your own slats so that the mattress doesn’t fall through. (I made mine) No where in the description of this or the conversion kit was this explained. I don’t know how you design a bed without holding the mattress in the bed in mind. It’s cute, I love the color, but probably would not buy again.
