Contenedor de pañales Ubbi de acero: acero inoxidable con cierre hermético de goma para controlar olores, utiliza cualquier bolsa de basura estándar

The pail is described with a sliding, childproof lid intended for an airtight closure, but independent hands-on testing found it absorbed odors and retained an unpleasant scent even when empty, and its narrower opening made loading larger diapers harder.

The pail body is stainless steel with a powder coating, paired with ABS plastic components and a silicone seal ring. Steel does not absorb odor the way plastic does, and no antimicrobial or fragrance additive is named anywhere for this pail.

This pail is designed to work with any standard kitchen trash bag rather than a proprietary refill, so there is no resin, recycled-content percentage, or compostability standard published for a bag used with this product.

The pail itself uses ordinary trash bags rather than a scented proprietary bag system, and an independent buying guide notes it has no scented bags built in. No explicit fragrance-free, dye-free or lotion-free statement is published for the finished pail, and no test method backs the claim.

We queried the complete CPSC recall corpus (9,966 records, 1973-2026) and found exactly one match: a 2019 recall of Ubbi bath toys for a choking hazard, not this diaper pail. The response was proactive, with direct outreach to known purchasers, and only one or two incident reports with no injuries.

Two independent retailers, Pottery Barn Kids and Walmart, each carry GREENGUARD Gold Certified in their own product compliance data for this steel diaper pail, indicating VOC emissions of the finished product have been certified rather than just claimed by the brand.

The pail's construction is disclosed at component level: stainless steel body with powder coating, ABS white plastic parts, and a silicone seal ring. A retailer listing and an independent reviewer both repeat this same materials breakdown.

The lid has a named child safety lock that keeps little hands from finding their way inside, and reviewers repeatedly confirm the lock function holds up in daily toddler-proofing use. No stability or tip-hazard information is published.

The pail itself is not a skin-contact product, and no dermatological or hypoallergenic testing claim is published for it; an EWG-verified claim we found applies only to bundled wipes in a gift set, not the pail.

We found a customer-service contact for defective products, but the country of manufacture and warranty terms for this pail are not published; a retailer Q&A confirms one scenario is excluded from warranty without stating what the warranty actually covers.

The body materials are named as stainless steel with powder coating, ABS plastic, and a silicone seal, but nothing states which parts are recyclable or how to separate them at end of life.
