CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

89 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Tableware Material Safety 87

The utensil head is nylon, not the silicone, stainless, glass or solid wood the criterion treats as clean; nylon is disclosed as free of BPA, BPF, BPS, PVC, lead, cadmium and phthalates but nylon itself is not one of the named clean materials.

This represents 20% of the total score.

Decoration & Coating Risk 89

The utensil heads are food-safe nylon and the handles food-safe silicone, both stated free of lead, cadmium and other toxins, so there is no painted decal or glaze layer in this product line to carry the lead-vector risk this criterion targets. No source separately confirms the food-contact surface is undecorated by construction.

This represents 15% of the total score.

Food-Contact Material Safety 90

The nylon head and silicone handle are both explicitly stated free of BPA, BPF and BPS, going beyond a bare BPA-free claim to name the structural replacement bisphenols too. No test method or migration data accompanies this disclosure.

This represents 15% of the total score.

Heat & Dishwasher Guidance 91

Care guidance for these utensils explicitly warns not to boil, sanitize or microwave them, a stance corroborated across three separate brand regional pages rather than a single loose sentence, actively working against the microwave-safe marketing habit the research flags as risky.

This represents 15% of the total score.

Heat & Wear Behavior 87

Annual third-party lab testing is disclosed, but this is a compliance cadence, not a shedding or migration study at use temperature, and no consumer replacement interval is published for these utensils specifically.

This represents 10% of the total score.

Recall History 95

We queried the CPSC recall database's full 1973-2026 corpus for this brand and found no recall record at any date, in any role. A control search confirms the database does cover comparable product classes like toys and pacifiers, so the clean result reflects the brand's actual history.

This represents 10% of the total score.

Certification Credibility 92

The utensils are named as FDA approved and CPSC certified, tested annually by a third-party lab, with no certificate number published. An independent competitor comparison site repeats this same FDA-approved/CPSC-certified claim without adding verification of its own.

This represents 8% of the total score.

Transparency & Support 84

The materials (silicone + nylon) are disclosed, but the country of manufacture, warranty terms, and named testing lab are not published anywhere we found.

This represents 7% of the total score.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Many customers say the utensils fit comfortably in small hands and help their child self-feed with confidence.
Reviewers frequently praise the size and grip of the handles as easy for toddlers to hold and learn with.
Some customers are disappointed that the mouth-contacting tips are plastic rather than silicone, contrary to their expectations.
A few reviewers note the fork tines are not pointy enough to pierce food effectively, leading to frustration.
Some customers report that microwaving or steam-sterilizing the utensils, against care instructions, caused warping.
A handful of reviewers mention the utensils picked up a soapy taste or stains after dishwasher washing.
Customers often describe the set as good quality and a worthwhile purchase or gift.

We loved EZPZ products and now look for them first on other people's registries! My cousin had the Mini Utensils listed, so we had to get them!

These are the perfect size to fit into our little one’s hands! He can easily grip these utensils and is loving that he is feeling like a big boy!
Courtney N.
Our daughter started with the mini utensils for her first spork and spoon set and we loved them. So we thought what a perfect 1st birthday gift for our twin nephews. Meal time is so much fun as they navigate these weighted utensils in their tiny hands.
Caroline E.
This has plastic! The part that touches your child’s mouth is made of PLASTIC. Do not buy if you are trying to be plastic free. I paid a premium for this thinking I was giving my child high quality silicone utensils —- until I realized the part that really should be food grade silicone is plastic
Emily
The tips here the baby eats from are plastic. I was very disappointed to discover this because I feel like they were advertised as fully silicone. My utensils are already stained.
