Mix & Match Animal Tiles

The tiles are made of sustainably sourced rubberwood with a child-safe finish, and its own reviews consistently describe the pieces as well made, sturdy, and able to be passed down through multiple children with no reports of cracking or chipping.

The product ties specific features (mix-and-match animal assembly) to motor skills, creative thinking and problem-solving, which is more concrete than pure buzzword marketing, but broader brand copy still leans on vague claims like '20 years of research' with no named study.

Wee Gallery states its products are CPSIA compliant and tested for phthalates, lead and soluble metals, and certified to US and UKCA standards, but this generic brand-wide claim does not name ASTM F963 specifically for this tile set, and no compliance certificate is published for it.

The tile set is labeled for ages 2+, and families describe giving these 18 loose wooden pieces to children of 12 and 18 months, younger than the stated grade. No small-parts test method or result is published for the finished set.

We queried the CPSC recall registry directly and found two Wee Gallery recalls: 2021 wooden tray puzzles (choking hazard, Fast Track/voluntary, no injuries) and 2024 Tummy Time Gallery (phthalates, no injuries). Neither covers this tile set, both were voluntary with no injuries reported.

It names GOTS for its cotton-textile factory, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 for polyester fill, and FSC for paper products, but these certifications attach to specific components and materials, not to this rubberwood tile set, which carries no named certification of its own.

The wood species category (rubberwood) and a child-safe finish are named, but the finish composition, country of manufacture, or any warranty or repair terms for this specific tile set are not disclosed.
