Happy Utensils
ezpz
The Happy Utensils are a spoon, fork, and training knife set made for older toddlers and preschoolers who are learning to eat independently and to safely practice cutting and spreading with a knife. The narrow spoon bowl and fork prongs are sized to fit a child's mouth, and the training knife works for both right- and left-handed children.
Each utensil is made of food-grade silicone and nylon, with a nylon head that supports scooping, piercing, spreading, and cutting, and a non-slip, round, slightly elongated handle to help with grasping. Sensory bumps and a raised rim add tactile feedback, and bumps on the underside help the spoon and fork stay stable when set down. The set is dishwasher safe, though the maker advises against boiling, sanitizing, or microwaving the utensils.
Some customers have noted that only the handle is silicone while the head or tip is a harder nylon, which can pick up staining from foods like tomato sauce or mac and cheese.
