This set is third-party tested to meet CPSIA, ASTM and Prop 65 requirements, asserted for the finished four-piece set rather than for a single component — CPSIA third-party testing at an accepted lab is the mandatory US route for a children's product. The ASTM revision, the lab and the Children's Product Certificate itself are not published, which is ordinary for a retail-distributed brand since those certificates go to retailers.

We queried the full CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records covering 1973 to August 2026 — and mushie appears once: a January 2022 recall of roughly 333,000 FRIGG silicone pacifiers, where a fine slit at the nipple base could let the nipple detach, a choking hazard. About 200 detachment reports were received, no injuries were reported, mushie announced it publicly through the regulator in both the US and Canada and paid full refunds or credit, and nothing has been filed against its bath or toy lines. Because the hazard class was choking and the recall is still under five years old it weighs here, and mushie publishes neither a standing safety and quality commitment nor any account of the production fix that followed.
