Frequently Asked Questions

When should my baby switch from bodysuits to t-shirts?

There's no set age. Many parents keep using bodysuits through the first year because they stay tucked in over the diaper. T-shirts become more practical once your child is walking, and especially during potty training, when snaps get in the way.

What's the difference between 24 months and 2T?

They cover a similar age, but they're cut differently. Size 24 months is designed with room for a diaper, while 2T is usually a little longer and slimmer, made for toddlers who are walking and moving towards potty training. Check each brand's size guide if your child is between the two.

When should I give a big brother or big sister shirt?

Sibling shirts are a popular way to announce a pregnancy, and many families also bring them to the hospital for the first meeting with the new baby. Order a size up so the shirt still fits when the baby arrives.

What's the best fabric for toddler shirts?

Organic cotton is soft, breathable and durable enough for everyday play. Muslin button-ups are light and airy for hot weather, while bamboo-blend long-sleeve tops feel silky and stretchy for cooler days. Look for GOTS or OEKO-TEX certification for peace of mind.

Do organic cotton t-shirts shrink?

Cotton can shrink slightly, especially in hot water or a hot dryer. Wash in cool water and tumble dry on low or line dry to keep the fit. If your child is between sizes, sizing up gives a little room to grow.

How do I layer tops for cooler weather?

Start with a long-sleeve tee or a bamboo-blend crewneck, then add a hoodie or a wrap-front layette jacket. Layers are easy to remove as the day warms up, which helps keep little ones from overheating.
