Key Features

Certifications

    • FSC Certified

    Certified by Forest Stewardship Council

FSC certification traces wood and paper-based materials in a product back through the supply chain to forests managed under FSC's standards.

    What it checks

    • Chain of custody tracking of wood/fibre from certified forests through manufacturing
    • Forest management practices checked against FSC standards (100%, Recycled, or Mix sourcing labels)
    • Auditing of certificate holders and monitoring of forest management organizations
    • Traceability tools such as blockchain-based tracking of certified material

What it does not cover This label addresses forest sourcing and traceability of wood/paper materials; it does not test or certify the safety, chemical content, or performance of a finished product.

This certification is held by the brand or manufacturer, not by Birch. We show it because the brand states it for this product. Summarised from the certifying body's own page.

CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

85 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Physical Construction Safety 91

The book's 32 perforated pages are printed on FSC certified paper with soy-based inks described elsewhere in the brand's paper-products line as non-toxic and odorless, and it uses a perfect-binding construction rather than a spiral or staple that could work loose.

Age & Format Fit 84

The book is conveniently sized for little hands and suited to restaurants, car trips and the park, but no specific age range or developmental claim is stated, and no reviews corroborate an age fit.

Content & Engagement Value 85

The activity book's theme (dressing woodland animals like deer, raccoons, owls, foxes and squirrels) and creative methods (scribbles, paint, collage, markers) are specifically described, and an engagement claim is made, but this listing has no reviews yet to corroborate the engagement or content-quality claims.

Toy Safety Compliance 79

Blanket CPSIA compliance and phthalate/lead/soluble-metals testing are confirmed across its catalog and it is an identifiable, retail-distributed manufacturer.

Age Grading & Choking Safety 77

No age label, small-parts warning, or cross-source age confirmation is published for this activity book; the description only notes portable sizing for little hands with no stated age range.

Recall History 92

We queried the CPSC recall registry directly across its full corpus and found two Wee Gallery recalls on file — a 2024 phthalates violation on a tummy-time panel and a 2021 choking-hazard recall on wooden tray puzzles. Neither covers this activity book or its product line, and both were voluntary with remedies offered.

Certification Credibility 90

The paper in this book is FSC certified, a named standard asserted for this exact product by both the brand and the retailer listing.

Transparency & Support 84

The book's paper and ink materials are named (FSC certified paper, soy-based inks), but country of manufacture, supplier, and any warranty or replacement terms for this item are not published.
