We queried the full CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — and L'ovedbaby appears nowhere in it, in any role, at any date. The same corpus returns hundreds of children's-product recalls in comparable classes, so the clean result reflects the brand's absence rather than a gap in coverage.

These shorts are GOTS certified 100% organic cotton, and the same GOTS scope covers the dyes, trims and snaps, with manufacture in GOTS-certified factories in India. Under that certification the garments contain no toxic heavy metals, formaldehyde or aromatic solvents, and no azo dyes that release carcinogenic amines; no licence or certificate number is published, however.

Nothing about these shorts is marketed as easy-care, wrinkle-resistant, non-iron, stain-resistant or water-repellent; they are plain organic cotton interlock, machine wash and tumble dry. No chemical flame retardants are used, and under GOTS the garments contain no formaldehyde or aromatic solvents, but there is no direct statement ruling out a water- or stain-repellent treatment.

Care is stated plainly for these shorts — machine wash warm, tumble dry low — and the cotton is cut long because it shrinks on the first machine wash and dry, with line drying recommended to keep the pre-shrink length; a retailer carries the same guidance with no conflict. There is no instruction to wash the garment before first wear.

Fibre content (100% organic cotton interlock), country of manufacture (cotton sourced and garments made in India) and care instructions are all disclosed, and an independent review write-up repeats the same organic-cotton and India-manufacture account. The individual mill or sewing factory is not named.
