CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

89 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Tableware Material Safety 91

The spoon is named as 100% food-grade silicone, not melamine or bamboo-composite, satisfying the clean-material criterion for utensils with a specific, named polymer.

This represents 20% of the total score.

Decoration & Coating Risk 79

The spoon is solid-color silicone with no painted decal or printed design on the food-contact surface, and while the brand discloses the material is lead- and cadmium-free generally, no decoration-specific lead testing is published for this item.

This represents 15% of the total score.

Food-Contact Material Safety 91

The spoon is disclosed as 100% food-grade silicone and is explicitly stated free of BPA, BPF, BPS, PVC, lead, cadmium and phthalates, going beyond a bare BPA-free claim to cover both bisphenol replacements.

This represents 15% of the total score.

Heat & Dishwasher Guidance 91

Care limits are stated clearly and specifically for this item: the spoon is dishwasher-safe but must not be boiled, sanitized or microwaved, avoiding the 'microwave-safe' marketing pitfall the research flags, and this guidance is repeated on a second regional site.

This represents 15% of the total score.

Heat & Wear Behavior 87

We found an explicit instruction not to boil, sanitize or microwave the spoons, which avoids the common microwave-safe pitfall, but no replacement schedule or shedding/migration testing is published for this specific utensil beyond a durability claim.

This represents 10% of the total score.

Recall History 95

We queried the CPSC recall database directly across its full corpus and found no recall record for this brand in any role, at any date, with a control confirming the product class is covered by the registry.

This represents 10% of the total score.

Certification Credibility 92

The spoon is 100% food-grade silicone that is third-party quality tested, FDA approved and CPSC certified. A retailer's own product listing repeats this claim without adding a certificate number, so we treat the certification as asserted for the finished product but unverified by an outside registry.

This represents 8% of the total score.

Transparency & Support 84

The spoon's materials (silicone, and nylon for other utensils) are disclosed and a general support email is offered for concerns, but no formal warranty term, spare-parts route for spoons, or country of manufacture is published, and no test method or result backs the compliance claim.

This represents 7% of the total score.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Reviewers frequently praise the small size and shape of the spoons, saying they fit well in a baby's hand and mouth and are easy for babies to grasp and self-feed with.
Many customers say the spoons are easy to clean and hold up well over repeated use.
Some reviewers mention babies chewing or teething on the spoons and note the silicone feels soft yet sturdy.
A few reviewers say the spoon handle becomes slippery once food or saliva gets on it, making it harder for their baby to keep a grip.
A couple of reviewers note the spoon bowl holds less food than other spoons they've used, requiring more trips per feeding.

Perfect fit for baby hands and a functional spoon surface with just the right size scoop. Cute colors too!

Great quality of products and fast shipping and delivery! Very satisfied with my purchase

Have tried a variety of baby first spoons and these are the best as they are a perfect size for the small mouth. Love them!
Sue R.
The size is good but they are too slippery once any food or saliva gets on the handle. My baby has to grab the spoon near the food portion to get any kind of grasp on it. We were disappointed with these but haven’t rushed to buy different ones.
JENNIFER G.
Good quality and price. However my baby (from about 7-11 month old)'s hand slipped all the way down the handle, so he was basically grabbing the head of the spoon in his fist and trying to eat at the same time. If these spoons work for your baby, they are great. For us, the NumNum pre-spoon "Gootensile" worked better for actually learning to eat, and these were better for chewing and playing.
