Bamboo Blend Zip Footie

The footie is a bamboo blend with organic cotton, but no fibre percentages are given, the bamboo fibre type (viscose or lyocell) is not stated, and no certifying body is named for the organic cotton in this garment. Apple Park designs in San Francisco and manufactures in China; the mill or fabric supplier for this footie is not published.

Construction is specified for this footie: a double zipper closure with a protective zipper guard at the neckline, foldover mitts, and built-in feet. The disclosure stops short of seam construction and of any small-parts or attachment-retention testing for the zipper pull and guard.

Apple Park dyes its GOTS-certified organic cotton fabrics with low-impact, azo-free dyes in compliance with GOTS requirements — a specific and checkable claim, but one attached to those organic cotton fabrics rather than to the printed bamboo blend used in this footie. No dye chemistry is stated for this print itself.

This footie is a bamboo blend with organic cotton — a fibre-level statement rather than a certification of the finished garment: no certifying body, no organic grade and no fibre percentages are published for it. The GOTS certification Apple Park names covers its plush items, not this garment.

We queried the full CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — and found one entry for Apple Park: a 2013 recall of children's loungewear for violating the federal flammability standard. Nothing has been filed in the thirteen years since, and nothing in the layette or romper category this garment belongs to.

Apple Park's GOTS organic cotton certification is asserted for its plush items, and ASTM F963 and EN 71 testing for its toys — both named, specific claims, but attached to other product lines rather than to this bamboo-blend footie. No certification, test standard or certificate reference is named for the footie itself.

Nothing about this footie markets it as easy-care, wrinkle-resistant, non-iron, stain-resistant or water-repellent, and the care guidance calls for a cool iron rather than promising no ironing. There is also no positive declaration that the fabric carries no wrinkle-resistant or water- and stain-repellent finish, and no formaldehyde or PFAS testing is published for it.

Care guidance for this footie is published and matches the brand's layette care instructions: machine wash cold on a delicate cycle, tumble dry low, cool iron, do not bleach, do not dry clean. There is no instruction to wash the garment before first wear, which is the step that removes residual sizing and finishes.

The products are designed in San Francisco and manufactured in China, the footie is a bamboo blend with organic cotton, and the rattle is organic sherpa and velour with embroidered details. Warranty terms and the name of the manufacturing partner are not published.

This footie has a double zipper with a protective guard at the neckline and an all-over printed design, but the zipper's metal content is not addressed — nothing states nickel-free or lead-free hardware — and the print method is not named.
