Carry On Original Bundle

We found no flame-retardant-free or PFAS-free declaration, and no VOC or off-gassing disclosure, for the shell, lining or any foam component of this hard-shell case and its cover.

Care instructions tell us to spot-clean with a damp cloth rather than machine wash, which gestures at a coated or finished surface without naming the coating chemistry, PFAS status, or whether any trim is treated.

Wirecutter's hands-on test of the Carry On Original, the suitcase in this bundle, found its aluminum frame and polycarbonate shell felt thicker and more durable than the other hard-sided kids' suitcases it tested. A 5-year warranty covers manufacturing defects, including zippers and fabric tears. The clear PVC cover in the bundle was not part of that test.

We queried the CPSC recall database's complete corpus (10,058 records, 1973-2026) and found no recall of any kind filed against this brand, in any role. A control check confirms the database covers comparable product classes, so the clean result is meaningful.

This bag has a telescopic handle, wheels, a safety belt and other hardware, yet we found nothing naming the hardware metal, its finish, nickel-release status, or the interior lining material anywhere in the brand's materials.

The bundle's own page gives colours, pricing and warranty badges but no exterior dimensions, empty weight, litre capacity or handle adjustment range. The Carry On model's own page names a telescopic handle with 3 height settings, which this bundle's page does not repeat.

The only certification claim we found in this family is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 on carrier fabric for the Hipster baby carrier, a different product line entirely. No certification is asserted for this luggage or its cover.

Design in Switzerland and assembly in China are named plainly, and spot-clean-only care is specified, but no recycled-content percentage or material composition is given for this bag or its cover.

The country of design (Switzerland) and assembly (China) is stated plainly for all products including this bag, and a concrete repair-or-replace warranty obligation is published alongside a 5-year luggage warranty term.
