Key Features

Certifications

    • FSC Certified

    Certified by Forest Stewardship Council

FSC certification traces wood and paper-based materials in a product back through the supply chain to forests managed under FSC's standards.

    What it checks

    • Chain of custody tracking of wood/fibre from certified forests through manufacturing
    • Forest management practices checked against FSC standards (100%, Recycled, or Mix sourcing labels)
    • Auditing of certificate holders and monitoring of forest management organizations
    • Traceability tools such as blockchain-based tracking of certified material

What it does not cover This label addresses forest sourcing and traceability of wood/paper materials; it does not test or certify the safety, chemical content, or performance of a finished product.

This certification is held by the brand or manufacturer, not by Birch. We show it because the brand states it for this product. Summarised from the certifying body's own page.

CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

88 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Piece Size & Age Fit 91

The puzzle ships with 24 large, sturdy pieces sized for ages 3 and up, a claim echoed by an independent retailer description of a sibling floor puzzle's piece format. Multiple reviewers confirm the pieces are the right size for toddler and preschooler hands.

Finish & Material Safety 84

The board is FSC-certified paperboard printed with nontoxic soy-based inks, but no test method or lab result backs the nontoxic claim for this paperboard puzzle, and the brand's named finish disclosures for wooden and bamboo toys don't apply to this paper product.

Fit & Durability 92

Reviewers repeatedly describe the pieces as sturdy and fitting together smoothly with no reported drawbacks, echoing an independent aggregation of reviews for a sibling floor puzzle finding no durability complaints. Multiple reviews specifically call the box and pieces sturdy for repeated holiday use.

Toy Safety Compliance 79

Its products are CPSIA compliant and tested for phthalates, lead, and soluble metals, and certified to UKCA standards, but does not name ASTM F963 or a specific CPC for this floor puzzle. Wee Gallery is an identifiable, retail-distributed manufacturer, so non-publication of the certificate itself is normal.

Age Grading & Choking Safety 91

The puzzle is consistently labeled for ages 3+ and has 24 large pieces suited to developing hands. Reviews from parents of 3-9 year olds confirm the age range fits without reporting small detached pieces.

Recall History 92

We queried the complete CPSC recall registry back to 1973 and found two recalls for this brand: a 2024 phthalates violation on a tummy-time art-card product and a 2021 choking-hazard recall on wooden tray puzzles, both voluntary with no injuries reported. Neither covers this paperboard floor puzzle or its product line.

Certification Credibility 91

The board for this puzzle is named as FSC-certified and the ink as soy-based, both asserted directly for the finished floor puzzle across independent retailer listings, though no certificate or registry number is published.

Transparency & Support 91

The material composition is disclosed specifically: Floor Puzzles are named as FSC-certified paper and paperboard printed with soy-based inks. Country of manufacture and warranty terms for this puzzle are not published.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Customers often say the puzzle pieces are large, sturdy, and easy for young children's hands to fit together.
Many reviewers describe the illustrations as charming and say children stay engaged completing it, with several noting they finished it in around 15 minutes.
Some customers with older children mention the non-rectangular shape adds a bit more challenge than typical floor puzzles, while a few say it works well for kids as young as 3 up through about 9.
Reviewers frequently mention gifting the puzzle and note the packaging and box are sturdy enough for storage.

These are really fun and perfect for my 3 year old granddaughter. Just perfect sized pieces and challenging enough but not too hard. We love putting them together.
Joanne
Super cute puzzle. The pieces are extremely sturdy, well-made and fit together perfectly. Big enough for toddler hands to manipulate. The puzzle is larger than I expected which was a nice surprise. Will be getting a few more of these to gift this season.
Consumer Queen
My almost 9 year old can cruise through most kid floor puzzles, but this one required a little more thought since it's not a rectangle. It's a nice intermediate puzzle that is able to be completed before a kid loses interest. The design is super cute and it was fun to work on together.
