Organic Blanket

This is an unweighted flat 37-inch square of stretch cotton with no hood, no ties and no cords, and nothing weighted appears anywhere in the range. Three things the safe-sleep question turns on are missing: no TOG or warmth rating is published, there is no swaddling or safe-sleep instruction, and there is no hip-healthy assessment, while the copy promotes swaddling and draping over a car seat from newborn through toddler.

The blanket is 100% organic cotton with GOTS named as the certifying standard, with no synthetic blend, and the cotton is grown in India where the blanket is made. An independent Canadian retailer carries the same 100% certified organic cotton content for the line. No certificate number or mill is published.

This is a GOTS-certified 100% organic cotton blanket, not a "made with organic cotton" claim: the certification covers every step from farm to mill to finished garment, and extends to the dyes, trims and packaging. What is not published is a certificate number tied to this blanket.

We queried the CPSC recall database — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — and L'ovedbaby appears nowhere in it, in any role, at any date. The same corpus returns 332 crib records, 182 stroller records and 1,470 toy records, so these product classes are covered and the clean result reflects the brand's absence rather than a failed search.

The blanket is sold as GOTS-certified 100% organic cotton, and the certification is asserted for the finished garment rather than the fibre alone: the dyes, trims and snaps are GOTS-certified and lead-, chrome- and nickel-free, and the goods are made in GOTS-certified factories in India. No licence or certificate number is printed for this blanket.

Nothing about this blanket is sold as easy-care, wrinkle-resistant or non-iron; care is a plain machine wash warm and tumble dry low, no chemical flame retardants are used, and the garments contain no formaldehyde, aromatic solvents or functional nanoparticles. The disclosure stops short of the second half of the question: there is no statement either way about a water- or stain-repellent treatment.

Fibre content, dimensions, dye type, care and country of manufacture — cotton grown and goods made in India — are all published for this blanket. The specific factory and mill are not named.

By construction this blanket has nothing to fasten or work out of: it is a single 37" x 37" hemmed square, stretchable to about 45", with the logo embroidered into the corner and no zips, snaps or neck opening, and the trims used across the line are lead-, chrome- and nickel-free. Across 147 customer reviews we saw no reports of detached parts or loose stitching, with several noting the fabric holds up over many washes.

Solid-colour versions of this blanket carry an embroidered corner logo rather than a thick raised screen print, and the blanket has no snaps, zips or metal hardware at all. The dyes are azo-free, and across the line trims, snaps and zippers are lead-, chrome- and nickel-free with no PVC; an independent clothing-subscription service carries the same account of no toxic heavy metals and no carcinogenic azo dyes.
