Organic Muslin Sleeveless Romper

Composition is given exactly — 100% organic cotton muslin with no synthetic blend — with GOTS named as the certifying standard and the cotton sourced in India, where the garment is sewn. Independent retailers and a review outlet report the same 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton content, consistently with the brand.

The romper closes with hidden snaps along the inner legs and is finished tagless, with ruffled shoulder straps and smocking rather than appliqués, and no cords or ties at the neck. Snap retention is not addressed: no small-parts or use-and-abuse test method and no result is given anywhere for the fasteners, and no children's product certificate is published.

The dyes on this romper are azo-free and GOTS-certified throughout, with azo dyes that release carcinogenic amine compounds specifically excluded. An independent clothing service repeats that exclusion, and the base cloth is organic cotton rather than a synthetic that would carry disperse dyes.

This romper is GOTS certified 100% organic cotton, and the certification covers the whole chain — farm to mill to finished garment, and even the packaging — rather than being a fibre-only "made with organic cotton" claim. No certificate number is published for the garment.

We queried the complete CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — and L'ovedbaby appears nowhere in it, in any role, at any date. The same corpus returns 332 crib records, 182 stroller records and 1,470 toy records, so the clean result reflects the brand's absence from the register rather than a query that missed the category.

GOTS certification is asserted for the finished garment itself — 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton — and extends to the dyes, trims and snaps, with the Indian factories GOTS-certified and monitored for both organic processing and labour standards. No licence or certificate number is printed alongside those claims, however.

Nothing about this romper is sold on easy-care, wrinkle-free or stain- and water-repellent performance; care is plain machine wash warm, tumble dry low. Under GOTS the garments contain no formaldehyde, no toxic heavy metals and no aromatic solvents, and no chemical flame retardants or chemical softeners are used — the daywear meets CPSC flammability requirements on fabric weight alone.

Care is published as machine wash warm, tumble dry low, and the shrinkage behaviour is explained in detail — the garment is cut long so it shrinks to size on the first machine wash and dry, with line drying recommended to keep the pre-wash length. A retailer's size guide carries the same care and shrinkage guidance with no conflict. What is missing is an actual instruction to wash the garment before first wear.

Fibre content, cotton origin (India) and country of manufacture are all published. An independent review outlet restates the same certified-organic sourcing without adding anything new; the individual manufacturing partners are still not named.

The snaps and zippers are lead-free, chrome-free and nickel-free, the trims are GOTS-certified with PVC, nickel and chrome not permitted, and the dyes are azo-free. This romper is decorated with ruffled straps and smocking rather than a raised plastisol print, so the thick-screen-print concern does not apply, and it is tagless against the skin.
