Key Features

Certifications

    • FSC Certified

    Certified by Forest Stewardship Council

FSC certification traces wood and paper-based materials in a product back through the supply chain to forests managed under FSC's standards.

    What it checks

    • Chain of custody tracking of wood/fibre from certified forests through manufacturing
    • Forest management practices checked against FSC standards (100%, Recycled, or Mix sourcing labels)
    • Auditing of certificate holders and monitoring of forest management organizations
    • Traceability tools such as blockchain-based tracking of certified material

What it does not cover This label addresses forest sourcing and traceability of wood/paper materials; it does not test or certify the safety, chemical content, or performance of a finished product.

This certification is held by the brand or manufacturer, not by Birch. We show it because the brand states it for this product. Summarised from the certifying body's own page.

CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

89 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Piece Size & Age Fit 91

The puzzle's 24 pieces are large and sturdy, sized for little hands from age 3 up, matching the labeled age band without small knobs or pegs, and this description is echoed by an independent retailer summary.

Finish & Material Safety 84

The board is printed with soy-based, nontoxic inks and retailers, but no test method, lab, or lead-paint compliance result is named for this specific paperboard puzzle finish.

Fit & Durability 92

Customer reviews and an independent review summary both describe pieces fitting together smoothly with no reported durability complaints, corroborating the brand's build-quality claims for this puzzle specifically.

Toy Safety Compliance 84

It is fully CPSIA compliant and tested for phthalates, lead, and soluble metals across its products.

Age Grading & Choking Safety 91

Age 3+ grading is consistent between the brand and independent retailer listings, and the puzzle's 24 large floor pieces are not marketed toward children under 3, keeping the age claim internally consistent across sources.

Recall History 92

A direct query of the CPSC recall registry across its full 1973-2026 corpus turned up two records for this brand: a 2021 wooden tray puzzle recall for a choking hazard and a 2024 phthalates recall on a tummy-time product, both voluntary with no injuries reported. Neither covers this floor puzzle, a different product line.

Certification Credibility 91

The board for this puzzle is FSC certified and printed with soy-based inks, a specific material claim repeated consistently by the brand and by independent retailers.

Transparency & Support 90

The brand names FSC-certified paperboard and soy-based inks specifically for its Floor Puzzles line, a concrete, component-level material disclosure, but no warranty terms or repair/spare-parts route are published for this product.
