The blanket is 100% organic cotton in a 30"x32" openwork pointelle knit chosen for breathability, and the blankie is organic cotton with an organic sherpa backing over a BPA-free sensory film. The GOTS certification named by the brand attaches to its plush items rather than to this blanket, and the sherpa backing and the blankie's fill are not broken out as percentages.

The GOTS claim sits on the brand's plush items, and independent parenting outlets repeat it for the plush toys and dolls. This pointelle blanket carries only a fibre statement — 100% organic cotton — with no GOTS or OEKO-TEX Class I certification named for the finished blanket itself, so the certification that exists covers other items in the range rather than this one.

We queried the full CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — and found one entry for Apple Park: a 2013 recall of children's loungewear for violating the federal flammability standard. Nothing has been filed in the thirteen years since, and nothing in the layette or romper category this blanket belongs to.

GOTS certified organic cotton is named for the brand's plush items, and the toys are tested to ASTM F963 and EN 71 for the US, Canada, Australia and Europe. For this gift set the certification attaches to the cotton fibre and the wider plush line rather than to the finished blanket or blankie, and no certificate or licence number is published.

Nothing in this set is sold as easy-care, wrinkle-resistant, non-iron, stain-resistant or water-repellent: care is plain machine wash cold, tumble dry low or lay flat, with spot cleaning for the blankie. The fabrics are dyed with low-impact, azo-free dyes to GOTS requirements and no flame-retardant materials are used, but there is no explicit no-repellent-finish declaration, and no formaldehyde or PFAS test method or result for the finished pieces.

The materials are itemised for both pieces — a 100% organic cotton blanket, and a blankie of organic cotton with organic sherpa backing over a BPA-free sensory film interior — and the products are designed in San Francisco and manufactured in China. The manufacturing partner is not named and no warranty term is published.
