Organic Graphic Tee & Shorts Set

This is a pull-on tee and shorts set with no snaps, ties, cords or detachable appliqués described, and it is tagless so nothing rigid sits at the neck; it is built to endure active play and frequent washing. Seam construction, trim attachment strength and small-parts testing are not described, so the durability claim carries no test method or result behind it.

The print is applied with water-based, non-toxic dyes and the set is explicitly declared free of AZO dyes; the base fabric is organic cotton rather than a synthetic, so disperse-dye concerns do not arise, and GOTS processing prohibits bleach, formaldehyde and toxic dye chemistry across the supply chain.

We queried the full CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — and Makemake Organics appears nowhere in it, in any role, at any date. The same corpus returns hundreds of records for children's product classes such as cribs, strollers and toys, so the clean result reflects the brand's absence rather than a gap in coverage.

Makemake Organics is licensed under the Global Organic Textile Standard with licence number IDFL 010673, certified by IDFL Laboratory and Institute as the third-party agency, and the products and the production facility are certified organic under it. Fair Trade and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 are also claimed for the products, and an IDFL mark appears with this set; no certificate document or lab report for this set is published.

The set is declared free of PFAS, formaldehyde, phthalates, flame retardants and AZO dyes, and none of the always-avoid finishes are marketed — there is no easy-care, wrinkle-free, non-iron or stain-repellent claim, and care is machine wash gentle with a cool iron. The organic cotton is processed without bleach or formaldehyde under GOTS rules.

Care guidance for this set is detailed: machine wash on gentle, do not bleach, iron on cool, tumble dry on low and remove promptly, with mild plant-based soap or mild detergent and wool dryer balls suggested instead of softeners. It stops short of telling buyers to wash the set before first wear.
