CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

86 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Safe-Sleep Design Compliance 76

This is a flat, unweighted muslin wrap with no hood, ties, or cords, but no TOG rating is published and it is marketed as usable in the crib and car seat without addressing safe-sleep placement guidance.

Fiber Content & Origin 91

The fabric is stated as organic cotton muslin, and the manufacturing facility for Wee Gallery's cotton and linen items is GOTS certified and located in South India, giving a named material and a traceable production origin.

Textile Certification 87

GOTS certification is named for sibling swaddle colourways in the same organic muslin line, and the manufacturing facility is GOTS-certified, but this Forest swaddle itself states only "organic cotton muslin" without naming a certification for the finished garment.

Recall History 92

We queried the complete CPSC recall corpus and found two voluntary Wee Gallery recalls, neither involving a swaddle blanket: a 2024 phthalates issue in a tummy-time panel and a 2021 choking hazard in wooden puzzles, both remedied with no injuries reported in the US or Canada.

Certification Credibility 92

The manufacturing factory is named as GOTS-certified and its products are fully CPSIA compliant and tested for phthalates, lead, and soluble metals, though no certificate number or lab name is published for this swaddle.

Chemical Finish Avoidance 91

It never uses flame retardants or chemical treatments for stain, wrinkle, or water resistance across its textile products, and this swaddle makes no easy-care or wrinkle-resistant claims.

Transparency & Support 90

The fabric and country of manufacture are disclosed directly - organic cotton muslin, made in India - but no warranty terms or spare-parts/repair route are published for this swaddle.

Hardware & Print Safety 79

This swaddle is a simple muslin square with no hardware to assess, and the print method used for the hand-illustrated pattern - beyond screen-printing being named generally for fabric products - is not specified for this item.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Customers frequently describe the blanket as soft, lightweight, and gentle enough to keep baby comfortable without overheating.
Many reviewers say the fabric softens further with washing and holds up well after repeated use.
Some customers note the muslin is quite thin and wonder whether it will hold up or develop tears after many washes.
A few reviewers mention the blanket arrived with a slight waxy coating or a pulled thread, though these were minor and washed out or did not affect use.
Several customers feel the price is justified by the organic material and quality, though a few describe it as pricier than expected for a single swaddle.

Really nice blanket. It arrived with a slight waxy (like tack cloth) coating, but it washed right out. Glad for an option that is not made in China so that I don’t have to worry when my baby mouths it.

I used this as a fun art project for my sister's baby shower. We all colored in the animal pictures with fabric markers. It turned out so so cute and my sister loved having such a personalized keepsake for her baby! I hoped it would work for the project since it looks kind of like a coloring book page, and I was right!
Kara Woodbury
I love this little blanket. It’s so soft, has some elasticity, very light weight so I used it for a car seat cover sometimes and know my baby won’t overheat. The Material is very soft and made of muslin cotton, and it is a good quality blanket. I think the price makes it even more worth it as it’s very reasonable!
