The Organic Omni Swaddle Sack is a wearable swaddle designed to adapt as a baby's arm preferences change during the first weeks of life. It has a sack-like bottom for the legs and torso with half-length, arms-up sleeves ending in foldover mitten cuffs that can be worn open or closed, so babies can self-soothe by sucking on a hand or be protected from facial scratches when closed.
The knit fabric is 100% organic cotton that is breathable and stretchy. The garment closes with a central 2-way, 2-pull zipper that can be unzipped from the foot for diaper changes without undoing the swaddle wrap, and a narrow adjustable wrap panel secures with hook-and-loop fasteners. It is machine washable on warm and can be tumble dried on low.
The design has been recognized as Hip Healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. As babies begin showing signs of rolling over, the sleeves can be worn arms-up and outside the wrap, with the wrap secured over the chest and tummy so arms remain free to move.
