CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

85 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Sole & Upper Chemistry 84

The main material and reinforcement are disclosed as recycled polyester with polyurethane coating, but no tanning method applies here, and no certification or chemistry disclosure is given for the polyurethane coating or anti-slip sole.

Foot-Development Fit 84

Reviewers consistently describe these booties as flexible enough for crawling and early walking, but the brand does not publish a stage guide (pre-walker vs. first-walker) or sole-flexibility specification.

Textile Certification 78

No certification is named for the finished booties' textile components; the wool-mix lining and recycled polyester shell carry no GOTS or OEKO-TEX claim.

Recall History 97

We queried the complete CPSC recall database, covering over 10,000 records back to 1973, with a control confirming the product class is represented, and found no recall filed against this brand in any role.

Certification Credibility 84

We found Reima publishing a Restricted Substances List governing chemical use across manufacturing, and an OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certificate on sibling wool products.

Chemical Finish Avoidance 88

The booties are water- and dirt-repellent with a polyurethane-coated waterproof insert, and Reima's clothing has been PFC-free since 2017, using named fluorine-free finishes such as BIONIC FINISH ECO and Teflon Ecoelite, with formaldehyde, phthalates and azo dyes also excluded. That covers this footwear by implication rather than by a statement or test for these booties.

Stay-On Security 91

The booties use elastic bands at the opening and ankle for a snug fit, and reviewers across many sizes report the booties stay on reliably during crawling and walking without falling off.

Transparency & Support 84

The booties' full material composition is disclosed (recycled polyester, polyurethane coating, wool-mix lining), but Reima offers no product warranty and the country of manufacture is not published.

Hardware & Print Safety 77

The booties have no snaps, buttons or printed graphics described, but the anti-slip sole coating's material and chemistry (commonly PVC or silicone) is not identified.

Wash & Wear Durability 91

Reima publishes specific machine-wash care instructions for these booties, including warm-wash tolerance and guidance against bleach, fabric softener and tumble drying, which the review corpus does not contradict.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Customers say these booties keep little feet warm and dry even during extended outdoor play in cold or wet weather.
Reviewers mention the booties are easy to put on and stay on well during crawling or walking.
Many reviewers note the booties run large, with some saying a size fit a child a year or two older than expected, though they view the extra room as helpful for growing feet.
A few customers found the booties excessively oversized relative to their child's actual foot length.

I love these booties! They are the perfect first winter walking and even after that. However they run VERY large. I bought the very smallest size for my 1 year old and wanted to upgrade her to the next size this year and ordered these but they are too big for her at this point. She is a very small 2 year old, but just know these sizes run LARGE.
Customer
These worked perfectly for my 9mo baby. She wears larger sizes (12mo, 18mo) in other brands and while these ran a bit big, they did I what I needed them to do - kept her feet warm - when we were out in the cold. I think I will probably be able to get another winter out of these next year because of the sizing!
Customer
These are amazing! Waterproof and warm for a baby that likes to crawl and play in the MN snow.
Customer
These are awesome little boots! However they look like they are for a 3 year old. My little one is 15 months old, I bought the 1-2 yr size. Since they are so flexible I will probably still use them and hopefully she won't trip.
