Key Features

Certifications

    • OEKO-TEX Certified

    Certified by OEKO-TEX (Standard 100)

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certifies that every component of a textile item has been lab-tested and found free of harmful substances above set limits.

    What it checks

    • Testing of yarn, fabric, buttons, and other accessories against a list of over 1,000 regulated substances
    • Stricter chemical limits for products with more intensive skin contact, including a dedicated infant/toddler product class
    • Compliance with chemical regulations such as REACH, CPSIA, and the ECHA-SVHC candidate list
    • Annual review of substance limit values and one-year validity per certificate

What it does not cover It tests for chemical residues only and does not certify general product safety features like choking hazards, flammability, or mechanical construction.

This certification is held by the brand or manufacturer, not by Birch. We show it because the brand states it for this product. Summarised from the certifying body's own page.

CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

84 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Attachment Security 78

We found no stated mount rating or load description for how the Drool Pad and strap covers stay fitted to the Carrier straps, and no hands-on review of their grip or slip resistance under use.

Accessory Material Chemistry 91

The fabric is named as 100% organic cotton and OEKO-TEX certified, giving a specific material and a finished-product-scoped chemical safety standard for the pad and strap covers a baby chews on.

Safety Standard Compliance 78

No ASTM, JPMA or other juvenile-gear standard is named for the Drool Pack or the Carrier it attaches to; the JPMA/ASTM-F2236 compliance claim on file covers the separate Colugo Carrier product, not this accessory.

Recall History 93

We queried the complete CPSC recall database, covering over 10,000 records back to 1973, and found no recall filed against this brand in any role. The control terms confirm the corpus covers strollers, cribs and other juvenile products, so the clean result is meaningful.

Textile & Foam Chemistry 91

The Drool Pack's pad and strap covers are made of 100% organic cotton and are OEKO-TEX certified, naming both the material and the textile chemistry standard for the finished accessory.

Certification Credibility 84

All its products undergo internal and third-party testing to meet US safety regulations, but this accessory has no named lab, test method or certificate number tied to it.

Reachable Small Parts 78

Only the pad and strap covers themselves are described with no mention of zippers, toggles or other detachable hardware, and no independent inspection or review corpus confirms whether small parts are secured.

Transparency & Support 84

It partners only with manufacturers who share its safety vision, without naming the country of manufacture, specific materials beyond organic cotton, or any warranty terms for this accessory.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Customers say the drool pad gives babies who chew on the carrier straps a dedicated, washable surface to drool and gnaw on.
Several reviewers mention it is easy to attach to and remove from the carrier for washing.
Some customers mention the strap covers help cushion the buckle area where a baby's head tends to rest or fall against while sleeping in the carrier.
Customers describe the fabric as soft and comfortable against a baby's skin compared to wedging a bib in place.
A few reviewers note the strap covers can shift or come loose when the carrier is removed and put back on.

BABY CHEW TOY….EASIER TO WASH THAN THE CARRIER!!. Highly recommend. My little 6 month old immediately goes to put everything in her mouth. She sucks on the front of the carrier basically non-stop. The drool pack is much easier to wash than the entire carrier! It’s like sweatshirt material, my baby grabs the front of the carrier when I put it on because she’s so excited to suck on it.

Perfect!. Keeps the straps and top lip from getting slobbered on. Easy to pop off and wash and it goes right back on again!
