CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

83 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Ingredient Disclosure 80

The only materials disclosure for this bag is the single adjective 'Water Resistant Vegan Leather' repeated across the FAQ, with no layer-by-layer breakdown of lining, hardware, zippers or pocket materials.

Bag Material Identity 83

The bag is named only as 'premium vegan leather' and 'basket weave' with no polymer identity (PU vs PVC), no fiber certification and no test method given anywhere on the brand's own pages for this product.

Lead & Heavy-Metal Avoidance 77

No Prop 65 statement, no lead-free hardware claim and no heavy-metal testing is published anywhere for the gold-finished feet, zippers or hardware on this bag.

Fragrance, Dye & Lotion Free 77

Nothing is published about added fragrance, dyes or scented/antimicrobial finishes on the fabric or vegan leather exterior of this bag, and no adjacent free-from material exists either.

PFAS-Free Water Resistance 84

The exterior is marketed as water-resistant and the vegan leather coating is named, but no PFAS-free statement or chemistry disclosure for the water-repellent treatment appears anywhere for this bag.

Recall History 97

We queried the CPSC recall registry directly across its full 1973-2026 corpus and found no record naming this brand in any role. The query's coverage was confirmed against known diaper, crib and stroller recalls, so the clean result is reliable.

Certification Credibility 84

Third-party ad copy repeats a claim that Baldwin Baby Co bags are 'Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex' certified, but this never appears on the brand's own product or FAQ pages for the Montrose, and no certificate number, scope or test method is given anywhere.

Child-Adjacent Surfaces 78

Two insulated bottle pockets are included in this bag but the liner material touching bottles or food is not named anywhere, and no changing pad ships with this listing.

Transparency & Support 84

The country of manufacture (China) is disclosed along with a generic ethical-standards statement, but no factory, auditor or certification is named, and no warranty term or spare-parts/repair route is published anywhere for this bag.

Load & Hardware Durability 87

Clean multi-month durability reports with no strap, zipper or hardware failures exist for the sibling Lillian bag, but this evidence does not cover the Montrose tote itself, and no load rating or warranty term is published for either.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Customers describe the bag as a stylish, chic alternative to a traditional diaper bag that looks like a designer handbag.
Reviewers who wanted a compact, vegan-leather crossbody option say this bag fits that need well and feels well organized.
Customers say the bag helps them feel put together and stylish while handling diapering needs.

Love it! Just what we needed for around the house. You can tell it’s made well.
AlexB
Love love love. I looked for hours for a mini and stylish diaper bag, and this fit the bill. I wanted something that was able to be crossbody, and ideally vegan leather. This seriously is perfect and great quality with plenty of pockets for organizing.
