CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

82 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Ingredient Disclosure 84

The bag is named as '100% polyester main fabric and lining,' a single-material claim, but no layer-by-layer breakdown covers the coating, hardware, zippers, or insulated-pocket liner.

Bag Material Identity 84

The main fabric and lining are named as 100% polyester, a real material, but the water-resistant finish or coating that makes the bag wipeable is not identified, so the actual headline material claim stops short.

Lead & Heavy-Metal Avoidance 77

Nothing addresses the hardware, zippers, or snaps on this bag for lead content or Prop 65 status, and no warning or clean statement appears anywhere.

Fragrance, Dye & Lotion Free 77

A water-resistant polyester backpack with insulated cupholders contains no dyes, finishes, or any scented or antimicrobial treatment on the fabric.

PFAS-Free Water Resistance 76

The bag is marketed as water-resistant and wipe-clean, but nothing states what the water-repellent treatment is or whether it is PFAS-free.

Recall History 95

We queried the complete CPSC recall database (10,058 records, 1973-2026) for this brand and found no recall filed against it in any role. The search corpus demonstrably covers diapers, strollers and similar categories, confirming this is a clean result, not a missed search.

Certification Credibility 78

Materials and care instructions are listed but no certification or test standard is named for this bag specifically. Named certifications on the brand's site are reserved for strollers and carriers, and nothing equivalent is published for this backpack.

Child-Adjacent Surfaces 77

The bag includes insulated bottle-holder pockets, a food-adjacent surface, but the liner material of those pockets is never named anywhere, nor is any changing-pad material since none ships with the bag.

Transparency & Support 84

A 10-year manufacturing-defect warranty is documented for this bag, and care instructions are published, but country of manufacture and a layer-by-layer materials account are not, and no test or inspection underlies the warranty term.

Load & Hardware Durability 84

The bag features upgraded heavy-duty zippers and padded straps and carries a 1-year warranty on defects, but no load rating, stitching or strap-anchor test result is published, and we found no durability-focused review corpus specific to this backpack model.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Customers mention the backpack is durable and appreciate the pocket layout and overall size.
Some customers like that the bag's style feels gender neutral, making it appealing to both parents.

Several reviewers single out the laptop sleeve and abundance of pockets as standout features for everyday use.

I spent a long time looking for a good diaper bag and we landed on the Colugo Backpack. I am so happy we did! It is durable, love the pocket placement, size, and is cute. We also had a small issue initially and the customer service was top notch! Very impressed with overall with Colugo both with their products and customer service. Would recommend!

I actually ordered this backpack for our Disney trip and it worked perfectly. Really appreciated the insulated side pouches for bottles. There are also so many compartments on the back, top, and front for easy access. It was really comfortable to wear throughout the day. The only caveat was that it was hard to get into the storage basket under the Colugo travel stroller with the bottles in the insulated side pockets, we had to empty that to get it in the bottom basket but other than that we love our backpack and definitely put it to the test.

This is a sponsored product review to help support the Parent Backpack's new product launch. We honestly love this bag SO much. My husband isn’t into diaper bags or doesn’t care much about them but he specifically loves this one! Has so many pockets and a laptop sleeve?? Like what!! How cool! Not to mention it looks amazing design wise! Also super easy to wipe and clean and also machine washable! We love this and won’t use any other bag from now on. Colugo truly makes amazing products!
