Unbleached cotton diapers with a plastic-eating mycelium pouch
HIRO makes unbleached cotton diapers designed to break down with the help of mycelium. Each diaper is made with unbleached TruCotton, less plastic than conventional diapers, and no chemical blue wetness indicator. It comes with a separate Myco-Pod containing dormant, culinary-grade mycelium that activates after use and is added to the soiled diaper before disposal, aiming to help it break down in a landfill. The brand was founded by a mother, Miki, after her son Hiro was born, and the diapers are made with American cotton from family-run farms.
