CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

86 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Decor Material Safety 92

A retailer listing the Arched Chalkboard describes it as GREENGUARD Certified Sustainably Sourced, a named certification for the finished product, though no certificate number is published for independent lookup.

Emissions & Off-Gassing 77

No emissions certification, finish type, or off-gassing information is published anywhere for the Arched Chalkboard; the brand's general materials-based testing speaks only to materials-based testing without naming VOC or formaldehyde standards.

Construction & Durability 84

Gathre describes the chalkboard as a 'sturdy wooden structure' that is 'easily wipeable, extra durable,' and reviewers independently report it holding up without scratching, denting, or cracking over months of use, but no wash or durability test method is published.

Mounting & Tip-Over Safety 76

The chalkboard is wall-mounted and designed to mount securely, as an alternative to a standing easel, but no anchoring hardware, wall-stud guidance, or mounting instructions are published anywhere.

Recall History 97

We queried the CPSC recall registry directly across its full history and found no record naming Gathre in any role. The search corpus demonstrably covers comparable product classes like toys and cribs, confirming this is a genuine clean result rather than a blind spot.

Certification Credibility 84

Gathre states broadly that its products are tested to CPSIA requirements and ASTM toy safety standards but directs shoppers to individual product pages for specifics; no certificate number, lab name, or test result is published for the Arched Chalkboard itself.

Transparency & Support 84

Gathre backs its products with a lifetime workmanship guarantee, but the Arched Chalkboard's own page names only 'premium wood' with no species-specific sourcing, no country of manufacture, and no finish disclosure.

Material Disclosure Depth 84

Only 'premium wood' and 'beech' are named as a color option, with no disclosure of the magnetic surface material, writing-surface coating, adhesives, or finish used on the Arched Chalkboard.

A closer look

Designed for kids but made with the whole home in mind, this arched chalkboard blends function and beauty. Its balanced scale, wall-mounted design, and premium materials keep creativity accessible—without overwhelming your space.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Customers frequently praise the arched design and overall look of the chalkboard, often calling it a standout, decor-friendly piece.
Reviewers describe the writing surface as smooth and enjoyable to use for both chalk and whiteboard markers.
Parents say kids enjoy using the double-sided chalkboard and whiteboard for letter practice, drawing, and imaginative play.
A few reviewers mention the board arrived with a small dent or that the stand sold separately isn't included, and some feel the stand should come bundled.

This is so cute! I love the arch design!

We love the chalkboard! My two year old plays with it everyday. Only problem is that when I received it the dry erase side had a little dent in it. Other than that we love it but I do recommend buying the stand with it! It’s fell a number of times but it’s not heavy

Finally got my hands on one of these beauties- and happy to report it’s worth every penny. We’ve gone through so many cheap Amazon chalkboards and white boards and they all scratch and feel flimsy. The Gathre Arched Chalkboard is sturdy, doesn’t scratch, and helloooo she’s a beauty. 😍 Love love love!
