Ubbi Diaper Pail Plastic Waste Bags — 13-Gallon Odor-Lock, Unscented, Holds Up to 1,050 Newborn Diapers

This listing is for the plastic waste bag refills only. Nothing is published about the resin the bags themselves are made from, whether it is virgin or recycled, or any antimicrobial or fragrance additive in the bag material.

The bags are marketed with 'advanced odor-lock technology' that 'effectively seals in unpleasant smells,' but no film construction, layer count, or thickness is named anywhere to substantiate the claim.

The bag is HDPE with a stated 50% recycled content, but no source, certification, or verification of that percentage is given, and no biodegradable or compostable claim or standard is named.

These bags are unscented, but an independent guide notes the separate Ubbi pail itself uses no scented bags, which is not the same as a fragrance-free statement for this specific product; no dye or lotion claim is made either way.

We queried the complete CPSC recall registry and found exactly one recall on record for this brand: a 2019 choking-hazard recall on Ubbi bath toys, an unrelated product category, with a low incident count and no injuries reported.

Two independent retailers list the Ubbi diaper pail as GREENGUARD Gold Certified in their own product data, though this certification applies to the pail body, not to these plastic waste bags themselves, which carry no certification claim of their own.

The bag's material is named as HDPE with 50% recycled content, but no layer construction, additive information, or supplier detail is published beyond this single line.

No dermatological or skin-contact testing claim is published for these bags; the only EWG-verified claim found belongs to a separate bundled wipes product, not this bag.

No materials disclosure beyond a bare HDPE and recycled-content statement is published for these bags, and no warranty terms specific to this refill product appear anywhere.

The bag material is named as HDPE, a resin that carries a recycling code, but whether these bags are accepted in kerbside recycling streams or must go to landfill after use is not stated.
