Ball Pit

The Ball Pit is recommended for use on level, cushioned or carpeted surfaces with adult supervision, and pairs with a companion mat to stay in place, but publishes no weight limit, height spec beyond basic dimensions, or named structural standard.

The Ball Pit's own page and a retailer listing both state CPSIA compliance for this item, but the brand's general testing statement names CPSIA and ASTM toy standards only for its signature mats and select soft-play products, not the Ball Pit specifically, so the broader standards trail is not confirmed for this product.

The Ball Pit itself is named only as 100% vegan double-sided leather, free of toxins, PVC, phthalates and lead; the GREENGUARD Gold and OEKO-TEX chemistry claims found elsewhere, plus the memory-foam/PU construction detail, describe the padded mat line rather than this product.

The Target listing gives a 12-months-and-up age recommendation while the brand's own page is vaguer, saying the Ball Pit suits 'babies through early childhood' with no small-parts warning published, since balls are sold separately and not included.

The brand's own FAQ answer that 'ideal' age is 'babies through early childhood, depending on how your child likes to engage with play' is vague, and very young babies (as young as several months, not yet mobile) are being placed in it, which sits below a toddler-level active-play product's typical demands.

Reviewers across many purchases consistently report the Ball Pit holds its shape, wipes clean easily, and remains in daily heavy use for a month or more without reported seam failures or material breakdown, corroborating the brand's wipeable, durable-construction claim.

We queried the complete CPSC recall database (10,047 records, 1973-2026) for this brand and found nothing filed against it in any role. A control search confirmed the registry covers comparable product classes, so the clean result reflects an actual absence of recalls.

The Ball Pit's own listing claims only CPSIA compliance and freedom from PVC, phthalates and lead, with no named certification body or number for this product. GREENGUARD Gold and OEKO-TEX claims surfacing elsewhere apply to Gathre's padded mats, not the Ball Pit.

The Ball Pit is 100% vegan double-sided leather, free of toxins, PVC, phthalates and lead, but the supplier, country of manufacture, and specific warranty terms for this product are not published; the brand's general lifetime workmanship guarantee applies site-wide without product-specific detail.
