Bamboo Blend Hat & Sleepgown Set

We queried the CPSC recall register and found a 2013 recall of Apple Park's bamboo loungewear sets, refunded because they were neither snug-fitting nor flame resistant. This sleepgown is a loose, elastic-hem garment, flame-retardant materials are not used across the line, and the compliance route and the statutory sleepwear label wording are not published for it — the very disclosure this criterion turns on.

The fabric is a bamboo and organic cotton blend, the brand's GOTS organic-cotton certification is published for its plush ranges rather than stated for this garment's cotton, and the garments are manufactured in China. Two things are absent: the fibre percentages of the blend, and whether the bamboo is viscose, rayon or lyocell — so the organic share of a garment worn against skin all night cannot be worked out.

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 is named for Apple Park's bamboo sleepwear and GOTS for the organic cotton, but on this set the certification language sits with the printing and with the cotton fibre, so finished-garment scope for the gown and hat is implied rather than stated, and the organic share of the blend is not quantified.

We queried the full CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — and found one entry for Apple Park: a 2013 recall of children's loungewear for violating the federal flammability standard. Nothing has been filed in the thirteen years since, and nothing in the layette or romper category this garment belongs to.

This set carries an OEKO-TEX claim attached to the printing, and Apple Park's bamboo sleepwear is presented as OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified, with the organic cotton certified to GOTS. Cover for the sewn gown and hat is therefore implied by the line-level claim rather than stated, and no product class, issuing institute or certificate number is published.

Nothing about this set is sold as easy-care, wrinkle-free, non-iron, stain-resistant or water-repellent; care is machine wash cold, tumble dry low, cool iron, do not bleach, and the printed fabric is screened to OEKO-TEX for harmful substances.
