Cubes

Reviewers across the corpus describe the Cubes as sturdy, used as chairs and dragged around for forts and obstacle courses with no reported cracking or deformation, but the brand gives no test method or duration behind its 'soft, sturdy construction' claim.

The Cubes are marketed for stacking, sitting and jumping, and to combine with other playsets to 'multiply the imagination' — a concrete activity claim without any named skill or developmental framework attached to it.

The Cubes listing states CPSIA compliance generically, but the brand's own compliance scope statement limits its named CPSIA claim to signature play mats, padded mats and select soft-play products, not activity toys like Cubes, and no Children's Product Certificate or lab report for this item is published.

The Cubes carry no stated age grade at all, while Target's own record for this product lists a suggested age of 3 years and up; this gap between the brand's silence and the retailer's age data is not resolved anywhere.

We queried the CPSC recall registry's complete corpus of over 10,000 records spanning 1973-2026 and found no recall filed against Gathre in any role. A control search confirms the database covers toys, cribs, strollers, and similar classes, so the clean result reflects the brand's actual record.

The Cubes are named as CPSIA compliant and free of PVC, phthalates and lead, directly on the product listing for this item. No certificate number or testing lab is published alongside the claim.

The Cubes are 100% vegan leather over a solid foam interior, but country of manufacture, supplier, and any warranty terms specific to this product are not published; the brand's lifetime workmanship guarantee is stated only at the brand level with no product-specific scope.
