CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

83 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Accessory Material Chemistry 77

No fabric, coating or hardware material is named for the SideKick itself, and no PFAS, PVC or Prop 65 statement is published for this accessory specifically.

Safety Standard Compliance 79

Orbit Baby publishes Baby Safety Alliance/JPMA certification and CPSIA tracking-label compliance for its eligible products generally, but no compliance trail or standard is named specifically for this ride-on skateboard.

Attachment Security 84

The SideKick is described only as 'easy to attach and remove,' with no stated rated load or mount mechanism; the loaded stroller becomes unstable with a bag on the handles, but the review corpus overall shows no pattern of it sliding or detaching on its own.

Recall History 92

We queried the complete CPSC recall database against a corpus that demonstrably covers strollers and related gear, and Orbit Baby appears nowhere in it. A separate, older base-installation recall was voluntary, caused no reported injuries, and was remedied with a free repair kit.

Textile & Foam Chemistry 77

This rigid ride-on board has no stated fabric, foam, or finish chemistry disclosure anywhere; the OEKO-TEX and merino-wool findings we have on file describe the G5 stroller seat and car seat fabrics, not this attachment.

Tip-Over Loading Guidance 84

The board carries a stated 50 lb maximum rider weight but no handlebar-tipping caution, and one review reports the stroller tipping over with the SideKick loaded together with a bag on the handles, the exact risk this criterion grades.

Certification Credibility 92

Eligible Orbit Baby products carry the Baby Safety Alliance (formerly JPMA) Verified Seal, with annual retesting against ASTM standards and chemical limits at an independent lab; a retailer listing for a related Orbit Baby product repeats the same JPMA certification claim.

Reachable Small Parts 77

No statement addresses whether the SideKick's handle, clip or hook hardware is secured or oversized against detachment, and the review corpus notes a lost handle and clips coming off during travel rather than confirming secure parts.

Transparency & Support 91

Orbit Baby publishes a concrete two-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, with stated exclusions (non-approved accessories, products bought before 2019 or outside the G5 series) and a defined claims process, plus a manuals library for assembly and use. Country of manufacture and supplier are not published.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Customers say the board is easy to attach and remove, and many describe it as sturdy and well made.
One reviewer noted that with the board attached and a bag hanging on the handles, the stroller could tip over, and felt it needed additional counterweight.
A couple of reviewers mentioned losing small parts like the handle or clips over time, and one wished those parts could be purchased separately.

Our daughter absolutely loves her skateboard attachment. It’s sturdy and was easy to install to the stroller. We can’t go anywhere without people stopping us to ask the brand or just to say how cool it is. It’s great for going to the zoo or outdoor mall because my 3 year old can hop on and off as she pleases while by 6 month old hangs in the stroller. We love our orbit stroller!

My 18mo loves this attachment and it’s so much easier than lugging around a double stroller! It still folds and fits in the trunk fine, and it’s a smooth ride. There’s also a little hook to hold it up when not in use. My son loves to ride it but also has the freedom to hop off when he’s ready to walk again. Plus it’s easy to get him back on the skateboard because it’s fun!

After having the sidekick attachment for a little over a month now ,I can say I wish I got it sooner so we can use it for longer.I hestitated for a while since we arent having any more kids, but once we started hacing meltdowns and struggling to get him back in the stroller I decided to go for it . It honestly makes outings with my toddler who sometimes refuses to go in the stroller,so much easier. He now gets excited to get on the skateboard and be out and about . During family outings my nephew and niece also like to take turns in riding the skateboard. I didnt think I could love our stroller more lol. Definitely worth the investment.
