CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

83 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Accessory Material Chemistry 77

The hook set's plastic and metal construction carries no published PFAS, PVC or lead statement specific to this accessory. The brand's OEKO-TEX fabric testing applies to soft goods, not this rigid hardware.

Safety Standard Compliance 92

Orbit Baby states eligible products carry the Baby Safety Alliance (JPMA) Verified Seal covering ASTM standards with annual retesting, and references CPSIA tracking-label compliance. No certificate number is published specifically for this hook set.

Attachment Security 69

Multiple hooks move, fall off the stroller, or arrive defective and detaching, with one noting damage to a cup holder before a replacement fixed it. The hooks hold securely once a working set is installed.

Recall History 92

No recall of this product appears in the CPSC recall database (10,053 records, 1973-2026). Orbit Baby's record holds two voluntary car seat base recalls: the 2013 G2 base, whose StrongArm knob could detach or spin without tightening, and a 2017 G3 base labeling issue in Canada, both remedied with free repair kits and no injuries reported. Neither covers the G5 Stroller Hook Set.

Textile & Foam Chemistry 77

This hook set is rigid plastic with no foam or fabric component, so the brand's OEKO-TEX fabric testing and FR-free merino wool claims for other products do not apply. Nothing is published about the plastic or metal materials used in the hooks themselves.

Tip-Over Loading Guidance 91

The hook set states a maximum load of 13 lbs without a child in the seat or 6.6 lbs with the seat off the frame, and warns against exceeding the limit to prevent tipping, with an added caution never to leave a loaded hook unattended with a child seated.

Certification Credibility 92

Orbit Baby states its eligible products carry the Baby Safety Alliance (formerly JPMA) Verified Seal, with independent lab sample-testing against ASTM standards, federal and state law, and chemical limits, retested annually. No certificate number is published for this accessory specifically.

Reachable Small Parts 77

The hooks mount on the stroller frame or handlebar rather than the seat, but nothing is published about whether any component could detach into the child's reach envelope, and no small-parts testing is mentioned for this product.

Transparency & Support 91

Orbit Baby publishes a concrete two-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, with stated exclusions (non-approved accessories, products bought before 2019 or outside the G5 series) and a defined claims process, plus a manuals library for assembly and use. Country of manufacture and supplier are not published.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Customers mention the hooks are convenient for hanging a diaper bag or backpack and that they rotate to the side for easier use.

I love the rich gold color, the shape and the heavy quality of these hooks, however, they just don’t attach to the stroller well. They move, and fall off a lot. I really wish they would snap onto the stroller.
London H.
Not only is this stroller amazing but the bag holders are a must have. One of mine did break at one point but Orbit Baby was super quick to apologize and send a replacement!
Hannah M.
These hooks are really dependable and the way they can twist to the sides make them really useful. I’ve had previous strollers with hooks that I bought and everything would slip off or it was an awkward push, these are really comfortable. Worth the price.
Rebecca C.
