Grosmimi Replacement Straw Kit
This kit contains two Stage 1 replacement straws plus a straw brush, made to fit Grosmimi cups and bottles and compatible with select other wide-neck bottle brands. It is intended for babies 6 months and up, and it uses the same softer Stage 1 silicone, meant for babies who are not yet chewing heavily; the brand recommends moving to Stage 2 once a baby starts chewing more with their teeth.
The straw teat is made of platinum silicone, the same material used for baby nipples, so it is soft on gums and BPA free. Tubes measure 6 inches and can be trimmed to match the height of the cup being used, and the straw's "+" cut design is meant to help prevent leaking. The straw can be used two ways: with the tube attached for drinking while sitting, or without it for drinking while lying down.
Before first use, the straw should be placed in boiling water for about 30 seconds, and the included straw brush should be used for cleaning, gently spun through the teat rather than pushed in and out repeatedly. The brand recommends replacing the silicone straw every 2 to 3 months for sanitation, and inspecting it before each use, discarding it at the first sign of damage or weakness.
