Key Features

Certifications

  • GREENGUARD Gold

    Certified by UL Solutions

GREENGUARD Gold certifies that a product has been tested by UL Solutions and meets strict limits on chemical (VOC) emissions into indoor air.

    What it checks

    • Lab testing of chemical emissions against limits for more than 360 VOCs plus total chemical emissions
    • Meets stricter emission limits than standard GREENGUARD, intended for sensitive settings like nurseries and schools
    • Compliance with California Section 01350 chamber testing method for VOC emissions
    • Manufacturing process review and routine re-testing to confirm ongoing compliance

What it does not cover It measures air emissions from the product, not general product safety, physical/mechanical hazards, choking risk, or compliance with toy or baby-product safety regulations.

This certification is held by the brand or manufacturer, not by Birch. We show it because the brand states it for this product. Summarised from the certifying body's own page.

  • FSC Certified

    Certified by Forest Stewardship Council

FSC certification traces wood and paper-based materials in a product back through the supply chain to forests managed under FSC's standards.

    What it checks

    • Chain of custody tracking of wood/fibre from certified forests through manufacturing
    • Forest management practices checked against FSC standards (100%, Recycled, or Mix sourcing labels)
    • Auditing of certificate holders and monitoring of forest management organizations
    • Traceability tools such as blockchain-based tracking of certified material

What it does not cover This label addresses forest sourcing and traceability of wood/paper materials; it does not test or certify the safety, chemical content, or performance of a finished product.

This certification is held by the brand or manufacturer, not by Birch. We show it because the brand states it for this product. Summarised from the certifying body's own page.

CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

91 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Frame Material & Adhesive 91

The frame and spindles are named as 100% solid New Zealand pine, with no MDF disclosed for this crib; a third-party reviewer independently confirms solid wood construction with no particleboard, though flags uncertainty about the mattress support board material.

Finish Type 89

The finish is a non-toxic, multi-step painting and staining process that is lead- and phthalate-safe, and a third-party reviewer independently characterizes it as a water-based finish, though the brand's own crib-specific copy doesn't use the words "water-based."

Sleep-Product Compliance 92

The applicable federal standard for full-size cribs (16 CFR 1219, incorporating ASTM F1169) is named, slat strength and spacing specs are published, and products are sent to a third-party CPSC-certified lab for compliance testing.

Recall History 92

The Kiwi glider recall we found on file covers only that recliner model — a different product line from this crib — and was proactively remedied with a free repair kit after 37 reports and one minor injury. No recall touches any Babyletto crib, so the brand's crib-relevant record stays clean; the glider recall is disclosed here as part of the wider record.

Structural Standard Compliance 91

The applicable ASTM standard for full-size cribs (F1169) is named alongside 16 CFR 1219, and slat strength (135 lbs, exceeding the 80 lb minimum) and spacing (2.125") are specified; this crib is stationary-sided with no drop-side design.

Certification Credibility 92

The crib is named GREENGUARD Gold certified and FSC certified for the finished product, with the emissions claim also repeated by an independent outlet and a retailer's own compliance listing, though no certificate or licence number is published for this specific model.

Emissions & Off-Gassing 92

The crib carries GREENGUARD Gold certification for over 10,000 chemical emissions and VOCs, and this specific certification claim is independently repeated by a retailer's own support content describing the testing program in detail.

Wood Sourcing (FSC) 87

FSC certification and a sourcing region (New Zealand pine, sustainable forests) are claimed for the product, but FSC status is stated brand-wide as applying only to "some cribs," and no licence code is published tying that certification specifically to the Lolly.

Transparency & Support 92

The country of manufacture (Taiwan) is stated directly on the product, and a concrete one-year warranty against manufacturing defects plus a replacement-parts program are published on dedicated brand pages, going beyond a generic promise.

Material Disclosure Depth 84

The frame is named as solid New Zealand pine, and the finish is non-toxic and lead/phthalate safe, but no layer-by-layer breakdown covering hardware, glues or any fire barrier is published for this crib, and no test method or result accompanies the finish claim.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Reviewers frequently describe the crib as sturdy and well-built, with several calling out its quality and design.
Many customers mention that assembly was straightforward, with clear instructions and quick setup times reported.
Some reviewers note the finish is prone to scratching and that a toddler may chew on the top rail.
A couple of customers mention that assembly required more than one person or took longer than expected, and one reviewer needed to remove the feet to fit the crib through a standard doorway.

We’re first-time parents expecting our baby girl in August, and choosing a crib honestly felt like one of the biggest nursery decisions for us. We went with the Babyletto Lolly crib because we loved the clean design, the natural wood details, and that it can grow with our baby through the toddler years. It feels incredibly sturdy and well made, and it fits perfectly with the cozy, calming nursery we’ve been putting together. Assembly was also much easier than we expected, which was a huge plus during pregnancy 😅 Even though our little one hasn’t arrived yet, seeing the crib set up made everything start to feel so much more real. We’re so excited to create so many memories around it 🤍

This crib arrived in good shape and went together quickly. No complaints. Just note that your toddler will chew the wood at the top so either be okay with that or buy some after market toddler rails.
Nathaniel D.
This crib was everything we could ask for in a crib. It was easy to build, looked great, light but sturdy at the same time, and our child loves it. He's four now and he still fits comfortably with the toddler conversion kit. It'll be sad when he grows out of it, but we have definitely gotten many years out of it!
Sean T.
While the crib is cute, assembly took quite some time. Our biggest concern is that the finish scratches if you even look at it the wrong way. It will not last long. Disappointed.
