Key Features

Certifications

  • GOTS Certified Organic

Certified by Global Organic Textile Standard

GOTS certification verifies that a textile product's organic fibre content and its full processing supply chain meet defined organic, environmental and social criteria.

    What it checks

    • Confirms fibres used are certified organic (e.g. cotton, wool, hemp, silk, linen)
    • Checks chemical inputs, wastewater treatment and environmental management during processing
    • Verifies human rights and social due-diligence criteria across the supply chain
    • Requires traceability, annual on-site audits and transaction-based checks at every processing stage

What it does not cover This certification addresses organic fibre content, processing chemicals and supply-chain conditions; it is not a general product safety, flammability, or choking-hazard test.

This certification is held by the brand or manufacturer, not by Birch. We show it because the brand states it for this product. Summarised from the certifying body's own page.

CURATEIQ

TrustScore breakdown

91 /100

We take what's most important for a product to determine the TrustScore. Here's our research:

Textile Certification 91

GOTS certification is named specifically for this garment's organic cotton, dyes and trims, with scope covering the finished garment through the full supply chain, though no certificate number is published.

Adult-Product Boundary 92

The lounge set is marketed and sold exclusively as adult women's loungewear for pregnancy and postpartum wear, with no infant-sleep, co-sleeping or positioning imagery in the product copy or customer review corpus.

Finish & Treatment Chemistry 91

The garment carries no stain-resistant, wrinkle-free, easy-care or antimicrobial marketing, and the brand explicitly states its garments contain no formaldehyde, no azo dyes and no chemical flame-retardant treatment.

Nursing Access & Durability 91

The 4-snap front opening is described concretely as designed for easy breastfeeding, and reviewers across years of wear report the top stays easy to nurse in and the fabric and seams hold up over repeated washing and years of use.

Recall History 97

We queried the CPSC recall registry's full corpus (9,969 records, 1973-2026) and found no record naming this brand in any role. Control terms confirm the registry covers comparable apparel categories, so this is a genuine clean result.

Infant-Contact Scope 92

This is a plain loungewear top and joggers with a nursing-access snap panel; nothing in the design, imagery or copy involves the garment bearing an infant's weight, so it stays in its lane as apparel rather than a carrier.

Certification Credibility 92

GOTS certification is named for the finished garment, covering the full chain from farm to finished garment, though no certificate number is published. A third-party review repeats this claim without independent verification.

Material Chemistry 91

The garment is explicitly declared free of chemical flame retardants, formaldehyde, azo dyes, heavy metals and GMOs, with daywear-weight cotton meeting CPSC flammability standards naturally rather than through treatment.

Transparency & Support 85

The country of manufacture (India) and factory-level GOTS monitoring are disclosed, but no warranty terms or spare-parts/repair route for this garment are published anywhere.

Size & Stage Honesty 84

Sizing is published only as dress-size equivalents with generic 'fits true to size' guidance and a shrinkage note; there is no body-measurement chart and no explicit pregnancy-trimester or postpartum-stage fit guidance, and the review corpus shows a recurring split between snug and generous fits across the same size.

Composition Disclosure 91

The fabric composition (100% GOTS-certified organic cotton) is published.

Customer Stories

Sentiment Summary

Customers frequently describe the fabric as soft, comfortable, and holding up well over repeated washes and years of wear.
Many reviewers highlight the snap-front top as convenient for breastfeeding and say the set works well for nursing.
Sizing feedback is mixed: some customers find the set true to size while others report the bottoms run tight or, conversely, unexpectedly large or stretched out after wear.
Several reviewers mention the waistband feeling too constricting or not stretchy enough, especially during pregnancy or postpartum.
A few customers note minor durability issues such as seams coming apart or piling shortly after purchase.
Some reviewers consider the set a good value for organic cotton loungewear, while one customer felt it was not worth the price given fit issues.

The material is very comfortable. It fit me a bit long both shirt and joggers, but I am short, 4"11.

Nice quality and comfortable really pleased

I've been wearing this both as a set for hanging around the house, but also been able to dress up the henley. I love it!
Rachel F.
I love everything for our son from LB, but when these went on sale for me, I wanted to try them. The top fit very nice and the material is very soft, like what I experience with my son's clothing, but the pants are just too tight. I prefer a looser pant for sleeping honestly, so I should have known better to try a "legging" style as I do not like leggings. I do like them for under dresses in the winter, so I found a purpose for them at least. I would say they run a little small overall as well. Soft quality fabric though!
Jacqueline H.
I bought a large set for myself and find it runs pretty small. I'm 5'8", 145lbs, and the sleeves on the shirt and pants are short and tight. The material is nice, but not worth the price if the fit isn't right. I'd hardly consider myself an XL.
