Pants - Chambray

The fabric is 100% organic chambray cotton — a natural fibre base with no synthetic blend disclosed — and the organic cotton across the apparel range, bottoms included, carries GOTS certification. The pants are designed in San Francisco and manufactured in China; the cotton's growing region, the mill or cotton supplier, and the composition of the waistband elastic are not published.

The only closure is a soft elastic pull-on waistband: there are no snaps, buttons, ties, cords or decorative appliqués on these pants, so there is nothing that can detach into a small part for a mouthing-age child. Seam finishing and how the waistband elastic is secured are not described.

The chambray is coloured with dyes claimed to OEKO-TEX 100, and the organic cotton fabrics are dyed with low-impact, azo-free dyes in line with GOTS requirements — a named standard and a named restriction rather than a vague 'safe dye' claim. This is a woven cotton, not a vivid synthetic, and no dye licence number is published.

We queried the full CPSC recall corpus — 9,944 records spanning June 1973 to August 2026 — and found one entry for Apple Park: a 2013 recall of children's loungewear for violating the federal flammability standard. Nothing has been filed in the thirteen years since, and nothing in the layette or romper category this garment belongs to.

The certifications named around these pants are OEKO-TEX 100 for the fabric dyes, GOTS organic cotton for the plush line, and ASTM F963 and EN 71 for the toys — specific, named standards, but none of them asserted for these pants as a finished garment, and no certificate or licence numbers are published anywhere.

Nothing about these pants is sold as easy-care, wrinkle-resistant, non-iron, stain-resistant or water-repellent, and the care guidance calls for a cool iron, consistent with an untreated woven cotton. No flame-retardant materials are used, but there is no explicit declaration that no wrinkle-resistant or stain/water-repellent finish is applied, and no formaldehyde or PFAS test method or result is published.

Care instructions are published in full and match wherever these pants are sold — machine wash cold on a delicate cycle, tumble dry low, cool iron, do not bleach, do not dry clean — and the same instructions cover the organic layette generally. Against that good adjacent disclosure, there is no guidance at all to pre-wash before first wear, which is what removes residual sizing and finishes.

The products are designed in San Francisco and manufactured in China, the footie is a bamboo blend with organic cotton, and the rattle is organic sherpa and velour with embroidered details. Warranty terms and the name of the manufacturing partner are not published.
